It was a relatively busy weekend at the Disneyland Resort! We’ve already extensively covered some of the higher profile goings on including STAR WARS: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland and the 2020 Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure but there’s plenty of other projects including Avengers Campus Marvel land expansion, Holiday removal, attraction refurbishments including Mark Twain and Snow White’s Scary Adventures, and Project Stardust all concurrently on-going on.
So much to see so let’s dive right in to our latest park pictorial. ENJOY!
Resistance Ready?
When it comes to the STAR WARS: RISE OF THE RESISTANCE Virtual Queue / Boarding Group process at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, no result is typical but we were equipped with an understanding for how the process worked from this earlier info guide. There are as many suggestions for securing a Boarding Group as there are twinkles on Cinderella’s dress so ultimately you’ll want to follow the steps that feel right for you.
If you like to live vicariously through other people’s experiences, we invite you now to follow along on our process for enjoying STAR WARS: RISE OF THE RESISTANCE on its first official Saturday of operation at Disneyland!

Flavors from Far, Far Away
Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips are one of the newly-announced additions at Star Wars; Galaxy’s Edge. Nearly every single one of those words had our attention. Chips? Garlic? Puffed Cheese? Yes, please.
These chips are are a garlic lover’s dream. Cheese flavor also pops for an extra dimension of intergalactic magic. Super strong flavors that are not for the faint of heart. One person in our group described them as Funions having a baby with White Cheddar Cheez-Its and that’s probably not too far off!
The Toydaria Swirl Green Milk (shown above in this press image) is another temping treat that’s new to the land. It takes the regular Green Milk and spices it up with swirls of savory chili lime seasoning and mango jelly. It’s available at the Milk Stand for $8.79. You can also opt for a nice warm cup of Black Spire Hot Chocolate topped with shimmering purple whipped cream at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and at Ronto Roasters for $3.79.
While enjoying the flavor-packed new chips, we heard an ad on the in-land radio advertising luxury cruises board the new Halcyon ship of the Chandrila Star Line. That’s the name of the ship for the upcoming “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser” more commonly known as the “Star Wars Hotel.”
Year of the Rat Mouse
The Lunar New Year is here with the zodiacs showing that it is the Year of the Rat Mouse and Disney California Adventure is ready to celebrate in style! The cherished holiday tradition returns once more to the Happiest Place on Earth with a fantastic festival featuring fine feastables, fortuitous findables, and fascinating spectacles celebrating the wonders of China, Korea, and Vietnam.

Several fan favorites have returned and new menu options are available to tempt the palate all around the park. It was so much food we had to do a whole separate posting about it which you can see below.
