Spring is in full bloom at the Disneyland Resort and the parks are BUSY as Spring Break crowds descend for a little bit of magic at the Happiest Place on Earth.
On our visit this weekend, we’ll get a pulse check on the new Pixar Pals Parking Structure, the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opening next month, Pixar Pier which has officially opened a new attraction and continues working on another, plus Project Stardust enhancements around the park on Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, and in Frontierland.
We’ll also take a look around Downtown Disney, the Disney hotels and more for an update on on-going projects. Of course, a nice merch run for you at the end and much more in this latest park pictorial. ENJOY!

Get a Peep!
Bo Peep is making her way to Disney Parks this summer. Fresh off the new TOY STORY 4, she’ll be making appearances at Disneyland Paris, Disney California Adventure, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney Parks in Asia (TBD).

Children’s Hospital Donations Assemble

Explore Early?
The public won’t get their chance to explore Galaxy’s Edge until May when the new land opens at Disneyland (and then again later in the year a clone of the land opens in Walt Disney World) but Marvel is ready to take you to the planet of Batuu — and specifically the Black Spire.
Edging Closer
It’s no secret that the Star Was: Galaxy’s Edge expansion (or unofficially Star Wars Land for the uninitiated) will be an incredible undertaking when it lands at both Disneyland Park in Anaheim and Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park at Walt Disney World and now we have more info than ever before about the impressive new undertaking opening as early as this summer in California and later this year in Florida!

Around Disney California Adventure
Grizzly River Run is back in time for the pleasant weather.
As quickly as they came, the wisterias have departed.
Warming Cabins never returned.
Water returned at the Wharf.
World of Color platform was exposed in the morning.
Not much visible progress on the refurbishment for the Silly Symphony Swings.
The INSIDE OUT: EMOTIONAL WHIRLWIND continues moving along.

With “a bug’s land” gone, the vistas across the park are much wider when seen from in front of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.
The Red Car Trolley is gone for the next year or so as construction begins soon on the upcoming Marvel-themed land.
The restrooms are amongst the only remaining structures from the land. They will remain restrooms in the new Marvel- themed land.
Work continues on the Marvel-themed land where Spider-Man will present a significant presence. The former Tough to Be a Bug theater continues its retrofit.
The loading station is already completely removed for the Red Car Trolley. Those gates will likely also be removed as part of the expansion.
Cruz Ramirez was out on Saturday.
Looks like custom-made table cloths have been added to the Food and Wine tables. Should up those insta photos a bit.

More walls have gone up on Main Street around planters.
Planters near Adventureland are also surrounded. The Info Booth is also behind walls. It’s been relocated in-between Adventureland and Frontierland entrances.

Curbs are being re-sloped in front of the castle.
The Horse-drawn Streetcar loading station relocated during the castle refurbishment.
Astro Orbitor is nearing completion.
Walls remain around this Tomorrowland planter.
Bonanza Outfitters is still open during its exterior refurbishment.
The Haunted Mansion lemonade cart has been removed in favor of expanded stroller parking.
Pooh Corner is getting some TLC, too.
Around the Resort
April 2019 limited edition flavors at Salt & Straw include Rhubarb crumble with toasted anise and wildflower honey with ricotta walnut lace cookies. There’s also a vegan orange blossom sorbet with edible flowers!
Black Tap is getting an expanded dining area.
The Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa expanded dining area is coming along.
Once completed, the new pool bar area will keep with the hotel’s signature Arts and Crafts design with natural boulder stonework and clinker bricks. A custom tile mural at the back bar will also set the craftsman tone in the new space. In addition, a trellis structure will provide shade and a perfect respite to enjoy sipping beverages and snacking on appetizers. A variety of new lounge and table seating will also be available.
The small walkway has reopened but it doesn’t take the former pathway along the tram route. Instead, it reconnects you back at the middle of Downtown Disney.
They finally put some new artwork on the billboards.
Merch Run
Briar Rose Gold is here. How’s it different from the previous Rose Gold phenomenon? We’re not entirely sure.
Policy Changes
Some recent changes at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World resort caught national media attention when Disney policy updates for stroller sizes, smoking areas (or lack thereof), and loose ice! The rules will be going into effect on May 1, 2019.

Disney Channel Fan Fest is coming back once again to Disney California Adventure on Saturday April 27, 2019. The event gives fans the ultimate change to see many of their Disney Channel favorites live and in person with interactive main stage sessions, Q&A, presentations by talent and creators from Disney Television Animation, musical performances, sneak peeks from the highly anticipated Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants 3” and more.

For a limited time, guests visiting Disney California Adventure can visit with Marvel’s latest superhero Captain Marvel! Carol Danvers herself makes several appearances daily in the Hollywood Land section of the park taking to a giant hangar converted for S.H.I.E.L.D. to play tribute to the new.
