As the homebase for the global Disney 100 Years of Wonder campaign, the Disneyland Resort is making sure all guests know that there’s a special celebration going on with special decorations all around the Happiest Place on Earth, Disney California Adventure, and beyond.
Sleeping Beauty Castle
The iconic centerpiece of the Happiest Place on Earth is looking neat and pretty for the celebration. Along with decorations on Main Street, USA, Sleeping Beauty Castle is dressed in platinum banners on its moat and shiny bunting across its shimmering spires for the celebration. A giant cabochon and a shining wishing star are the finishing touches at the castle for its platinum-infused décor. The Disney landmark is further accented by two new water fountains that add a whimsical glimmer.
From a distance, the castle almost doesn’t look any different than it normally does.
As you get closer you an start to see the new details bringing a platinum pop.
New bunting, banners, and decor pieces have also been added.
Although it’s a bit hard to read, the medallion over the drawbridge entrance has a holographic sheen to it.
Sleeping Beauty’s three good fairies can be seen lifting the white bunting.
The iridescent effect carries over into the banners leading up the drawbridge. New fountains have also been added to the moat for an even more magical touch.
Depending on the time of day, you might catch a rainbow or two in the new fountains.
A new giant star is centered over the castle representing a wishing star.
At night the castle takes on a new magical shimmer thanks in part to the décor and the beautiful fountains.
Disneyland Decorations
Even Tilly at the Main Street Cinema is dolled up and ready for the celebration.
The monorail has a gorgeous wrap on it with the same rainbow holographic effect. Check out video of it below reflecting on the cool blue waters of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

Banners in Hollywood Land celebrate various milestones in the history of the Walt Disney company. Similar banners can also be found on the tram route from the Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures.

During the celebration, it’s not just the parks that are sporting celebratory new duds. On Main Street, U.S.A., you may find Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale in platinum-inspired looks as part of the celebration.
