For a limited time, guests visiting Disney California Adventure can visit with Marvel’s latest superhero Captain Marvel! Carol Danvers herself makes several appearances daily in the Hollywood Land section of the park taking to a giant hangar converted for S.H.I.E.L.D. to play tribute to the new.
Meeting Captain Marvel
Captain Marvel makes a grand appearance on an armored S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle and makes her way to the converted airplane hangar to greet with guests.
A really great tribute to Stan Lee! The numbers indicate his birth date and the date of his passing.
Another great deep-cut easter egg. MSH13 03191968? The comic book “Marvel Super Heroes”, issue #13, was released March 1968. What’s significant about that title? It’s the first-ever introduction of Carol Danvers!

Heroic Eats
Nacho Average Super Hero ($9.99)
These plant-based nachos served with ground “meat” feature 1000 island dressing, lettuce, cheese sauce, pickles, onions, and sesame seeds over blue and red corn tortilla chips. We actually found the flavors here to be pretty decent but the amount of toppings was severely lacking. We were left with a bunch of dry chips at the end leaving us craving more flavor. The overall flavor profile sounds like it would taste like a cheeseburger but it actually kinda tasted like a Jack in the Box taco.
For the cost, I’d say this one is not worth it, especially when you can get the amazingly flavorful Obviously Nachos instead.
Captain Marvel Ice Cream Sandwich ($5.49)
This whoopie pie features a red cake and blue cake sandwiching a heaping filling of red, yellow, and blue vanilla ice cream. Despite looking like rainbow sherbet, this was just very colorful vanilla ice cream and it was surprisingly tasty. The colorful presentation seems to imply an overly sweet explosion but this rainbow of color is a really satisfying snack or dessert.
Captain Marvel Slush ($5.49)
Black Cherry Lemonade features a strawberry drizzle and is topped with a thick blue whipped cream and golden sparkling sugar. Didn’t get to try this one but it sure was pretty!
Merch Run
You better believe there’s a whole lot of merch items around the parks!
See it for Yourself
There’s no end date officially announced for the meet and greet experience.
CAPTAIN MARVEL is now playing in theaters.
