Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill is part of the brand new San Fransokyo Square which has officially opened at Disney California Adventure and we’ve got your full look at everything the location has to offer including a refreshed menu with classic Mexican dishes — some with Asian fusion, plus signature cocktails and drinks.

About the Location

Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill is an opening day original at Disney California Adventure, it was actually originally located where Lucky Fortune Cookery is today (which itself was in the space know occupied by Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill).

The eatery maintains the industrial vibes of the land as a whole adding some charm with earthen pottery hanging from the rafters amongst the brick work.

This location offers Mobile Order to help minimize your time standing in line. We’ve noticed over the past few weeks that Mobile Order pick-ups have taken upwards of 30 minutes or more from the point of hitting the “Prepare My Order” button.

What We Ate

The menu here remains largely unchanged so we tried the new menu offerings that are ready to tempt the palate.

San Fransokyo-style Street Corn ($8.99) is served with togarashi mayonnaise, queso fresco, furikake and bonito flakes, served with spiced wheat chicharrones. This is a fantastic snack because it’s two snacks in one. The insane burst of flavor from everything the corn is balanced nicely by the fried wheat chips which help mellow the flavor explosion.

The bonito flakes bring a distinct fishiness that we know will be a turn off to many. Overall the spice and combination of flavors bring a fresh twist to a classic — and very trendy — snack.

QuesaBirria Tacos ($12.49) feature braised beef and cheese with tomatillo salsa and consomé. These are not new on the menu but they are worth calling out as this fan-favorite might be one of the most popular dishes in the entire resort. Every single flavor works in beautiful harmony here.
