Our merch run this year includes a ton of pictures of two new collections: 2020 year-branded merchandise as well as Park Life items celebrating the happiest place on earth. There’s a bunch of other goodies to take in, too. All of this and more in our latest park pictorial. ENJOY!
A-Pleased
Perhaps in the interest of driving more sales at a formerly quiet corner of Disney California Adventure, Disney opted to turn the Alfresco Tasting Terrace into an Annual Passholder exclusive location starting this past Sunday. See our pictorial below for more details and to learn more about those snazzy new drinks!
New Eats
Asian Street Eats is finally open (just not at 7:30am when this photograph was taken). Here’s a look at the menu options found from the temporary location that opened up in front of the former Rain Forest Cafe.
New Happily Ever After
Snow White’s Scary Adventures at Disneyland is prepping for a huge dose of TLC and is closing on Tuesday for an extended refurbishment that will bring a heaping spoonful of magic to the classic princess story.

Traditionally celebrated within Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures, the event this year also promises the return of the popular Festival Marketplaces with a host of unique eats and treats.

Brickwork is becoming more apparent and one wall is getting ready for a sign!
You can see the Spider-Man hexagon in the concept art.
Gizmos and gadgets aplenty.
Around Disneyland
Tomorrowland entrance is still in the midst of Project Stardust enhancement.
One of the entrance walls to Tomorrowland seems to have finished refurbishment on the panels.
The wall on the north side of the entrance is still behind scaffolding.
The new stairs near Space Mountain are still not finished.
Land based FastPass seems to be going well in Tomorrowland.
Trees are still being protected in Fantasyland.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is the first stop for many at rope drop. The line shown here extended past the Milk Stand about 45 minutes after opening.

Breakfast bar.
Not a bad spread in order from left to right…
- Happabore Sampler ($21) a selection of Cured Meats, Artisan Cheeses, Pickled and Preserved Rations, Crackers. Although not technically a breakfast item, you can always ask if there are any ready yet for the day.
- Blurrgfire ($7) Odwalla Lemonade, Pomegranate Juice, and Habanero-Lime.
- Takodana Quencher ($15) is not officially on the menu but you can still order the blue libation which includes Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum, Blue Curacao, Simply Orange with Pineapple, Kiwi, and garnished with dried pineapple.
- Moogan Tea Gold Peak ($7) Unsweetened Tea, Chocolate Milk, Vanilla, and Cinnamon.
- Spiran Caf ($17) Peru Alto Mayo Organic Joffrey’s Coffee®, Orange Marmalade, Gosling’s 151 Rum, Vanilla Whipped Cream, and Citrus Zest.
While not for everyone, our group really enjoyed this fun and unique extra terrestrial “charcuterie” that included crispy seasoned rice sheets, a dijon-like mustard, thin slices of two types of cured meats, slices of a white cheese, a piece of olive loaf, a bowl of pickled veggies, a tangy magenta sauce, and cubes of another type of cheese.
Single Rider at Star Tours.
Around Disney California Adventure
The parks were BUSY this past weekend, the afternoon crowds in DCA in particular were pretty heavy.
Blue Sky Cellar was completely empty despite the crowds outside. It’s not a surprise that the location draws no interest considering it’s offering a preview of a land that opened more than a year ago.
Random piece of Pixar Pier concept art.
Walls are still up in front of Mission: Breakout as Red Car Trolley tracks are reportedly being re-routed.
Construction behind Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters is growing quite tall. Curious to see how they address sight-line issues here.
Around the Resort
The new elevators at Mickey and Friends look just about ready to go.
Soda machines were recently added near the elevator wells but we’re not sure if that applied on every floor. At any rate, there are not any on Donald blue level.
Visible presence of security with the raised trailers here and at Downtown Disney entrances.
When the Mickey and Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures close due to crowding (as they did on Sunday) the streets in and around the resort instantly gridlock.
When there’s lines at the security screening areas a half hour before park opening, you know it’s going to be a busy day.
Only two screening stations were open at Downtown Disney so the lines were even longer.
The hotel side entrance was also quite long but did offer a No Bag Line.
Jamba Juice is still under renovation.
Gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is always a fun sight to see.
Final chance for holiday treats!
