D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is having an epic kickoff party at the Happiest Place on Earth on August 13, 2026 with the official D23 Day at the Disneyland Resort. From rope drop to late into the night, D23 fans will find a bunch of offerings in anticipation of the largest gathering yet of Disney’s ultimate fan club.

Here’s everything you need to know about 2026 D23 Day at the Disneyland Resort.

What to Expect

Taking place on August 13 at both parks, fans can expect a Disney Legends Cavalcade celebration, D23 Day photo opportunities, D23 merchandise, character greetings, merch and dining options and more. A magical concert featuring the voices of live action and animated Disney Princesses will be an enchanting kiss good night.

Plus, valid park admission (with a park reservation) is all you need to partake in all the festivities — no D23 membership or special tickets are needed to participate.

At Both Parks

• Complimentary Mickey Mouse ear hats hat giveaway (while supplies last)
• Complimentary Unlimited Digital Downloads of Disney PhotoPass
  All Guests with valid theme park admission and a park reservation on August 13, 2026, will receive complimentary unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken that day. Disney PhotoPass photos must be linked to your MyDisney account to be downloaded. Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads exclude separately priced Disney PhotoPass packages and products offered at select locations. Photos can be downloaded from your MyDisney account as often as desired, up to 45 days after initial capture. Disney PhotoPass service is subject to the Disney PhotoPass terms and conditions and the Disney PhotoPass expiration policy. Online registration required.

At Disneyland

• Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Dance Party
  Groove along to pop, rock and decades of hits in the evening at Tomorrowland Terrace
  • WHEN: 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
• D23 Day Icon Photo Op
  Strike a celebratory pose at a festive photo spot.

At Disney California Adventure

• Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration
  Delight in a spectacular Disney+ concert at Paradise Gardens Park—featuring the voices behind beloved Disney Princesses from live-action and animated classics—with performances at 8:30 PM and 9:45 PM.
  • Virtual Queue and Wristband Required
    Join the virtual queue in the Disneyland app at noon on August 13 after entering Disney California Adventure Park or Disneyland Park with a valid Park Hopper ticket and theme park reservation. Boarding groups are limited and available while supplies last and subject to change.
  • When your group is called, pick up your wristband at Hyperion Theater Courtyard from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Guests must have a valid boarding group and sign a filming release form. Photography, filming and recording will take place during the event.
• Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party
  Expect a full roster of fun aimed at the little’s with live entertainment, character experiences, and interactive activities for all guests, including preschoolers and their families.
