After a few weeks of operation, the Orange County Super POD at the Disneyland Resort is now delivering thousands of vaccinations of the COVID-19 each day.
Located in the temporarily unused Bullseye guest parking area of the Toy Story Parking Lot (300 W Katella Ave., Anaheim), the Disneyland Resort location is the first large Point of Distribution (POD) site to provide COVID-19 vaccines in Orange County.
The site is being managed by the County of Orange in conjunction with the City of Anaheim, City of Anaheim Fire Department and Orange County Fire Authority.
Those who live and work in Orange County are able to get vaccinated at this site. Below are some guidelines to follow. The photographs below are provided courtesy of County of Orange.
EDITOR’S NOTE 04/21: As of April 30, 2021, the Disneyland Resort Drive-Thru Super POD will close completely. (MORE INFO)
EDITOR’S NOTE 03/21: As of March 4, 2021, the Disneyland Resort Super POD was converted into a drive-thru operation to serve eligible people who have disabled placards or license plates, according to the OCR. They confirmed that those who can more easily park their car and navigate in-person queues are being diverted a half-mile down Katella Avenue to a large-scale indoor site at the Anaheim Convention Center.
How to Sign Up
Vaccines have and will continue to be distributed through the phased, tiered approach established by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
Those who are eligible should…
- Download the Othena app (on Android and Apple), the county’s vaccine appointment platform
- Register in-app for relevant updates and to make appointments. NOTE: Appointments are required to receive a vaccine.
- Keep an eye on the OC Health Care Agency website for the latest information on vaccine distribution.
Arrival
Once you receive an appointment, appropriate arrival and check-in information will be provided to you. The below is intended merely as a top-level view of what to expect.
Enter the Toy Story Lot from Katella Avenue. If you’re used to visiting that parking lot from Harbor Blvd, know that that entrance is NOT available at this time.
Entrance and exit are only available on Katella Avenue, directly opposite Cheesecake Factory. Follow signs upon arrival to park in Bullseye.

Check-In
Check-in is at the far end of the Bullseye lot, on the side of the lot bordering Harbor Blvd. If you want to park closer to check in, you’ll need to drive all the way to the end of the lot.
- Groups enter by time slot, so if you arrive more than 15 minutes before your appointment time, you’ll be asked to wait in socially distanced corrals until it’s your time to enter the main queue.
- There’s no need to arrive more then 15-20 minutes before your time, as once admitted to the main queue you’re only 15 minutes or so away from getting your shot while walking through a shaded area of the lot to the main tents.

Vaccine
- Have your Othena app QR code ready to scan once you’ve passed through the main queue.
- You’ll be escorted to a tent where a nurse will ask some pre-screening questions before administering the jab. This is the quickest part of the whole visit!
- You’ll receive your vaccination card with the date, brand and lot of your vaccine. This will also appear automatically in the Othena app but make sure you don’t lose it!
- If you’re receiving the Pfizer or Moderna shot, the Othena app will automatically schedule your second dose appointment on the appropriate date.

Observation
After getting your shot, you’ll move to another tent with distanced seating to wait 15 minutes.
- A very small percentage of people have experienced allergic reactions to the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and nurses are ready to provide instant treatment in the unlikely event this occurs.
- It’s important to note that allergic reactions can be treated right away with Benadryl or epinephrine, and are not known to cause any long term complications or death.
- The Othena app provides a 15 minute countdown clock after your vaccination. Once it’s done, you can exit and walk back to your car.
