After opening up at the beginning of this year and administering over 200,000 doses, the Disneyland Drive-Thru Super Point-of-Dispensing (POD) for COVID-19 vaccinations will officially be closing this month.
OC Health Care Agency (HCA) confirmed that as of April 30, 2021, the location will close expecting to have administered well over 233,000 doses to OC residents.
Located in the Bullseye guest parking area of the Toy Story Parking Lot, the operated was run by the HCA in partnership with Anaheim Fire & Rescue, the City of Anaheim, the Orange County Fire Authority, and community volunteers. Opening on January 13 as a walk-up general facility, the site converted a drive-thru operation March 4 supporting Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant in-vehicle vaccinations.

For the past month leading up to this planned closure, the HCA has only provided second dose vaccination appointments at the Disneyland Drive-Thru Super POD out of convenience for those who received their first dose at that location. HCA will reallocate existing staffing resources to other Super POD locations including Soka University, Santa Ana College, and the OC Fair & Event Center Super PODs which currently offer ADA-compliant drive-thru lanes to continue meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities.
The HCA also continues to administer walk-up vaccination at the Anaheim Convention Center, Soka University, the OC Fair & Event Center, Santa Ana College, and through targeted mobile PODs.
