We’ve got one whopper of an update for you today. The headlining news obviously is that the Disney Holidays are officially here. That means a special magic in the air (scented largely of peppermint and pumpkin pie) with entertainment, attractions, and more to help you live the spirit of the season.
In this update we’ll take a look at all the new goings on including new holiday adventures in Cars Land, Festival of Holidays return with Viva Navidad, Santa’s Holiday Visit and more in tow. Plus decorations everywhere along with merch and dining options abound.
Plus, we’ll have some non-holiday updates on the construction for the Galaxy’s Edge Star Wars Land, and TWO merch runs… holiday and regular!
Phew! All of this and more in our latest pictorial. ENJOY!
Expanding Holidays in Cars Land
The Disney Holidays are here once more and the residents of Radiator Springs once again wish everyone Season’s Speedings with their assortment of holiday decorations through-out their town. New this year are two attraction layovers bringing holiday themed music to the smaller attractions in the land which means you can now enjoy Mater’s Jingle Jamboree and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl.
Festival of Holidays
The popular FESTIVAL OF HOLIDAYS has returned once again as part of the 2017 Disney Holidays season and brings with it a celebration of four global holidays celebrated around this time of year: Christmas (and Navidad / Three Kings Day), Hanukkah, Diwali, and Kwanza.
Festive Food Marketplaces
The Disney Holidays are officially here and that means the Festival of Holidays is back once more at Disney California Adventure. This year’s menu offers up a slew of bites, sips, and tastes to please every palate. We tried just a small sampling of the menu offerings so far this year but have a complete look at everything that you’ll want to try! BON APPÉTIT!
There’s a few treats in store for Annual Passholders who visit Disney California Adventure over the next few weeks. The Disney Holidays officially began yesterday and as part of the celebration, the Disneyland Resort kicked off the second-annual Festival of Holidays which brings with it food, entertainment shopping… and a few special perks for those with an Annual Pass!
Santa’s Holiday Visit
After making its impressive debut last year, we were happy to see the 2017 return of Santa’s Holiday Visit to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail at Disney’s California Adventure park. Aside from being the official spot to meet the man in the big red suit, you can also partake in Elf Games, decorate cookies, take a scavenger hunt and more! It’s a really wonderful way to experience the holidays in a natural woodsy setting. With all the decorations it’s like a whole new land that arises just for the holidays.
It’s back again and just as wonderful as ever. ¡Viva Navidad! made its return this weekend for the 2017 Disney Holidays season and brings with it a familiar assortment of entertainment, dining, activities and more. Princess Elena of Avalor has also returned once more this year with her Musical Grand Arrival. All of this and more are back once more to add some spice and life to the season!

Although the layover debuted ahead of Halloween Time, the layover is a popular addition that will remain through the end of the Disney Holidays.
