In the announcement today indicating the February 19, 2021 opening of the new STAR WARS TRADING POST at Downtown Disney it was also confirmed that the Disneyland Resort is charging $4.99 for the Batuuan Spira Disney Gift Cards.
While we’re not sure if this is a new policy for the west coast, our friends at MouseSteps did confirm this change last year at Walt Disney World. Previously, the collectible gift card was available at no extra cost when purchased with $100 preloaded gift card balance.
The policy outlines that the $100 minimum activation is still required in addition to the $4.99 cost of the Batuuan Spira Gift Card itself. Per Disney: “It is not eligible for discounts, is nonrefundable, and may not be redeemed for cash, except as required by law.”
