Purchasing add-ons in video games is not a novel concept but it is when that game is within a Disney Park attraction!
Disney announced today new accessories that will be sold in the upcoming AVENGERS CAMPUS Marvel-themed land coming to Disney California Adventure that can be used to unlock special abilities on-ride in the interactive new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction!
WEB Tech Accessories
Picking up some fancy new WEB Tech upgrade accessories, you’ll be able to find your OWN special powers and unlock a different experience aboard the attraction!
As a reminder, the attraction will have you wearing 3D glasses on a test-drive in a WEB Slinger vehicle. Special new technology in the ride can actually recognizes arm and body movements and gestures to interact with the events unfolding in front of you on the ride. With these new experiences, you’ll unlock even more!
How it Works
- WEB Power Band is a base band that features an attraction mode that unlocks multi-fire webs aboard WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure to personalize the game play for a cool, new experience on the attraction.
- Power add ons for the Power Band are available with additional WEB Tech accessories inspired by Spider-Man, Ghost Spider, Iron Man and Rescue.
Enhanced Abilities
- Spider-Man and Ghost Spider WEB Shooters change your powers to electro-dynamic webs on the attraction — At home, the abilities will offer lights, sounds, projections, and webs that eject and retract.
- Iron Man and Rescue Repulsor Cannons change your powers to repulsor blasts on the attraction — At home, they light up and blast air while you practice your repulsor powers with training spheres.
Advance Shopping Opportunity
These and a host of other Avengers Campus products will be coming first to Disneyland Resort Backlot Premiere Shop on May 29, 2021 ahead of their debut at WEB Suppliers and the Avengers Campus Supply Pod inside the land.
