As the busy Halloween Time season continues on at the Happiest Place on Earth, we’re finding the park itself already moving on to the even busier holiday season! Sleeping Beauty Castle already begun its transformation into a sparkling snow-covered centerpiece for the park and new holiday merchandise is hitting the shelves.
We’ll also take a look at the brand new test in effect right now in Tomorrowland with a new centralized FastPass distribution center in front of Space Mountain. Plus, we’ll take a look at on-going Project Stardust efforts to improve the entrance into the land. Also going on at the back of the park, we’re starting to see the first official sights of construction for the upcoming Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Mickey’s Toon Town.
Meanwhile, Avengers have assembled in Downtown Disney for the newly opened AVENGERS: DAMAGE CONTROL at The Void in addition to Disney California Adventure where construction continues on the upcoming Avengers Campus.
Of course, a nice merch run awaits at the end, chock-full of must-haves (including a bunch of holiday merch so you can start decorating now.) All of this awaits you and more in our latest park pictorial. ENJOY!
Assemble Now
If you’re a fan of THE VOID and its VR experiences, you can now assemble in Downtown Disney to enjoy their newest offering, AVENGERS: DAMAGE CONTROL.

FastPass of Tomorrow, Today
Although construction walls remain, Tomorrowland has officially begun a change in operations for FastPass distribution in the land. Here’s a rundown of what these changes mean.
THE NEW WAY
FastPass for Space Mountain, Star Tours, and/or Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters must now be obtained via these new kiosks in front of Space Mountain. (Or you can continue using MaxPass if you have purchased that option)
THE OLD WAY
Former Tomorrowland FastPass distribution kiosks are now closed. You must use this new FastPass distribution center (or MaxPass)
USE YOUR TICKET
You still use your ticket (or AP) to scan for a FastPass reservation. This can be done with a physical admission media and/or through the Disneyland mobile app.
NO PRINTOUTS
Paper reminder tickets are no longer printed. If your ticket is linked to a Disneyland app account, then it will show up instantly in the app. Otherwise, you will have to take a picture of the screen or make sure remember your return window.
AT THE ATTRACTION
Use your admission media to confirm your FastPass reservation and gain access to the attraction during your reservation window.
GRACE PERIOD
Although it’s not widely publicized, FastPass reservation windows have a grace period of up to 5-minutes BEFORE and 15-minutes AFTER reservation window for access. As always, talk to Cast Members at the location for your specific case.
Before you get up to a kiosk, you can see the current return times on the screen
The kiosks are also equipped to give you safety information for each attraction.
The former FastPass kiosks are currently out of commission. If the new centralized test goes well we’d expect these to disappear permanently very soon.

Construction is officially under way behind Toon Town!
Some of the thematic backdrops in Toon Town were removed in anticipation of construction on the new attraction.
Here’s a front-side look of that same area from the previous photo. You can see the large hills that previously dominated the skyline on the left are gone but the city skyline on the far right remains.
Not all the backdrops were removed.
Walls are up near Toon Town Park.
Jolly Trolley is still gone.
The popsicle stick benches from “a bug’s land” remain at Goofy’s House, a pretty goofy decision when they’d be thematically appropriate just a few yards over near Gadget’s Go Coaster.
Would love for a new walkway to open up here and connect to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — with a tunnel blasting “Smile, Darn Ya Smile,” naturally.
It appears that this sign is no longer a sign.
Avengers Campus
MORE INFO: News and information about AVENGERS CAMPUS Marvel themed land
AVENGERS CAMPUS continues to rise up on the horizon.
The new Spider-Man attraction continues to move along inside the former “A Bug’s Life Theatre”
The new Pym’s Test Kitchen will soon be cooking up new and interesting eats and sips that play with size and scale.
The Avengers HQ building is also taking distinguishable shape with its angled architecture becoming evident. It will eventually be attached to a Phase-2 larger scale attraction set to open between the land and adjacent Harbor Boulevard.
From the ground, there’s not a whole lot to really take in but expect a lot of brick work to start appearing here in the coming months.
Around Disneyland
Crowds continue to amass during Halloween Time.
Even in the normally lighter hours at park opening, the crowds have been noticeably larger than they’ve been all summer.
Scrims were rolled back offering a peek at the on-going work on the facade of the Disneyland Opera House.
Buttons remain a self-service operation in front of City Hall to help minimize lines.
If you forecasted snow in Anaheim this week then you were correct! As Disneyland powers though Halloween Time, they are readying the park for the holiday season and snow is starting to appear in segments over Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The work isn’t finished yet!
Hooks await the hanging of icicles and garlands.
Not quite a perfect fit.
Walls remain up on the walkway in front of the Plaza Inn.
The walls extend all around the entrance into Tomorrowland.
You can see significant work to re-shape the walkways between Plaza Inn and Tomorrowland entrance to free-up walkway space and potentially also viewing areas for the fireworks.
The rolled back scrims in Tomorrowland help give a look at on-going work here where we can see that the decorative panels have been removed — hopefully for maintanance.
Both sides of the Tomorrowland entrance are covered in scaffolding.
Walls remain up in front of Space Mountain.
Still hard to tell exactly what is going on in-between the Space Mountain landing platform and Starcade.
We’ve heard a staircase and/or a wheelchair lift as potential options here.
Beginning Monday and lasting through the end of the month, the Matterhorn Bobsleds will be moving to weekend-only operation. Our best guess is for repair work on a portion of the Matterhorn Mountain that literally fell off the crag earlier this year.
The waterfall has remained inoperative all summer.
We were too early to try the new lunch items in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge so we opted for possibly the strongest menu item in the entire land, the breakfast-only Ronto Morning Wrap.
Kyryll Pork Rinds are new menu offering at Ronto Roasters available all-day long. They are $7.49 and a welcome addition to the rather limited menu which previously only offered the fan-favorite Ronto Wraps and very skipable hard, dry, turkey jerky.
The fried pork rinds are lightly crispy (although as with any bag of pork rinds you’ll find some pieces harder to chew than others) but make a great snack for the land and are made unique with a generous dusting of cinnamon and sugar.
The end-result is a winning new snack option in a land severely lacking in diversity of snacks. They are not made fresh at the location but they are kept in paper bags in a warmer so that they are semi-warm when you get them.

On Monday, “it’s a small world” closes for its holiday makeover, set to reopen November 8, 2019.
Walls are already up in front of the attraction as TLC efforts extend outwards into the Small World Mall.
Fantasy Faire Gifts is also getting some work done.
Around Disney California Adventure
Walls remain at the Red Car Trolley station on Buena Vista Street.
Mickey has FINALLY returned to the Silly Symphony Swings.
The vintage station wagon has also reappeared near Grizzly Peak. I really wish they’d swap out the canoe on the roof with a Christmas Tree during the Disney Holidays.
That roadmap is AMAZING!!! And no, there’s not a filter on this image. The car window was casting a glare!
Around the Resort
New stroller rules in effect.
The new elevator at Mickey and Friends is coming along.
Still no Mickey sculpture.
