With the start of the 2024, Disneyland is preparing for a new year and a new round of Magic Key holder perks. For the month of January (and a little beyond) there are a few perks that include Magic Shots, Magnets, and the return of the refillable popcorn buckets.

What to Expect

Magic Key holders can take advantage of a few new perks in January 2024.

New Refillable Popcorn Bucket

  • WHEN: January 9 – February 24, 2024, during park operating hours (and while supplies last)
  • WHAT: The new refillable popcorn bucket is available for purchase with (with $1.75 refills from January 9 and February 27, 2024.)
    • Fans in Florida have been buzzing about the new 2024 Figment Imagination bucket (which will be available in Walt Disney World at EPCOT in the Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey) but this beauty does NOT come with refills for Magic Key holders.
    • Disney also announced a new 2024 popcorn bucket design featuring artwork by artist Joey Chou, this bucket also does not offer discounted refills.

These fun popcorn buckets are not available with discounted refills but definitely add a colorful POP to your snacking!

Magic Key Exclusive Magic Shot

  • WHEN: January 9 – January 31, 2024 — from park open to dusk (approximately 4:30pm)
  • WHAT: Magic Key exclusive Magic Shot offering you the chance to hold a bouquet of virtual 2024 balloons

Missed Opportunity Dance Party Magnet

  • IMG_6161 HEICWHERE: Disneyana at Disneyland and Studio Store at Disney California Adventure
  • WHEN: January 9 – January 18, 2024, during park operating hours (and while supplies last)
  • WHAT: Dance Party Magnet (as Disney called it) is back. This particular design (created by artist Asia Ellington) was first distributed last summer during a round of week-day dance parties (MORE INFO) and features Donald, Daisy, Huey, Dewey and Louie on summer vacation.

The weekday Disney Junior Dance Parties from last year (where the magnets were first distributed) will not be returning at this time.
