Get ready to set sail! ONE PIECE is back for Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026 and it’s an even more epic adventure than before. We had the chance to check out the new show, special character meet and greets, food, and more for the One Piece: Grand Pirate Gathering!
With hosted tickets, we were given access to the park to uncover all the fun for ourselves. Here’s a look at everything you need to know about One Piece: Grand Pirate Gathering during 2026 Universal Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Grand Pirate Show
Located at the Water World arena on the Upper Lot, the cherished anime comes to life with ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show. This explosive live stunt show originally debuted at Universal Studios Japan.

What to Know
- ONE PIECE: Grand Pirate Show lasts approximately 20-minutes. Typical showtimes are 8:30 PM, 10:30 pm, and 12:00 AM but always check the official Universal app during your visit for the latest information.
- The show features lighting, pyrotechnic, and other special effects.
- Set against a backdrop reimagined as Midori Island, a mysterious outpost from the world of ONE PIECE comes to live with the Straw Hat Crew (including Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji and Chopper) who are in search of rare Pop Greens — a powerful resource on the island.
- Everything goes awry when the Marines storm the island, blasting open the gates and igniting intense pyrotechnic and high-energy battle sequences. Comedic interactions ensue when rival pirate Buggy crashes onto the scene, intent on claiming the Pop Greens as his own.
Quick Tips
- Although the arena is quite large, this show is quite popular so if it’s a priority for you, you should plan on making sure to arrive well in advance of the start time that you’re interested in.
- The arena opens approximately 10-15 minutes before showtime.
- Sit where you like! Despite the reputation for the Water World arena, this is not a show that will get you wet. Since this experience takes place in the evening (and because many fans may be wearing cosplays and costumes themselves) the show was not designed to incorporate moments in which the audience gets soaked.

Fan Zone and Meet and Greet
Just outside the Water World arena on the Upper Lot, get ready to continue the adventures from the show as you set sail to meet with Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew. As part of this Fan Zone, you’ll encounter interactive areas including:
- Meet and greet opportunities with Monkey D. Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji
- There are no specific posted appearance times for individual characters but you can expect to find characters available from 7:30 PM through 1:00 AM. Always check the official Universal app during your visit for the latest information.
- Photo-ops and decorations evoking the nautical world from the long-running anime series
Dining
A treasure trove of dining options await at Sanji’s Galley with several drinks and snacks to get you into the spirit of One Piece. This year, the crew takes over Hollywood and Dine with a whole new menu of seaworthy meals and treats. Entrée items include Luffy’s Meat on the Bone, Sanji’s Seafood Fried Rice, Franky’s Loco Moco Burger, Brook’s Spicy Katsu, Jinbe’s Watermelon Salad and Pirate’s Bounty Funnel Cake. For dessert, dive into Luffy’s Straw Hat mousse dome or the fan-favorite Chopper Cupcake. Additionally, a selection of themed mocktails are also available at the Grand Pirate Den.

Shopping
Of course, you can expect there to be a treasure cache of merch. A winsome bounty includes a selection of regular ONE PIECE items plus exclusive items including Monkey D. Luffy Spirit Jersey, hats, & shirts; Chopper hats, tanks, & backpacks; plus several blind box collectible pins and a Devil Fruit plush and plush key chain. There’s also general Universal and ONE PIECE branded items like a blue button-up shirt, magnets, and acrylic stand plus the Straw Hat Pirates crew’s ship the Thousand Sunny gets love as both an epic bag and a necklace.

Universal Fan Fest Nights takes place at Universal Studios Hollywood on select dates from April 23 through May 16, 2026.
Event dates include April 23-25; May 1-3, 7-9, and 15-16. The event will begin each event night at 7pm and tickets are now available for purchase.
