We had the chance to taste our way through a bunch of 2026 Universal Fan Fest Nights specialty menu items at Universal Studios Hollywood and are happy to share our full thoughts of everything. We enjoyed bites and sips from the event which celebrate several immersive fandoms including Scooby-Doo Meets Universal Monsters, ONE PIECE, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Dungeons & Dragons, Yoshi in Super Nintendo World, and Sailor Moon. If you’re looking to pre-plan your adventure, you can use our reviews as a guide to know what to get — and what to skip!

With hosted tickets and Dining Pass, we were given access to the park to uncover all the fun for ourselves. Here’s a look at all the food and drink we tried during Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

EDITOR’S NOTE: This posting was updated with additional information and photos on 5/9.

Scooby-Doo Meets the Universal Monsters

Here’s a look at what we tried at the Backlot Cart in Little Europe. This location only available if you take the tram ride into the experience. Note that below is not a complete listing of the menu, this is just the items that we tried. Find the complete event menus here.

  • ☀️ Scooby Snacks ($9.99) features honey cinnamon graham dog tag cookies, and chocolate cookie paw prints. You get FOUR total cookies here and they come pre-packaged in a bag inside the box. There are two diamond shaped honey cinnamon cookies with the SD logo that are soft with a slight bend and yet also crunchy at the same time, they were fantastic. There’s also two round chocolate paw print cookies that somehow are not quite as magical a little more dry than the others. Still, it’s a great snack and it’s understandable shy Scoob and Shaggy are obsessed. The biggest question is: are four cookies worth $10? That’s a mystery for Velma and the team to help solve.

One Piece: Grand Pirate Gathering

Here’s a look at what we tried at Sanji’s Galley at Hollywood & Dine near the front of the park. This location closes at 1:30am on event nights. Note that below is not a complete listing of the menu, this is just the items that we tried. Find the complete event menus here.

Entrées

  • 🌞 Luffy’s Meat on the Bone ($18.99) features a sweet chili-ginger garlic pork served on a kimchi fried rice. We were so surprised by this but is flavor PACKED into this giant meatball and the crispy outer coating just takes this over the top. Plus, the little plastic bone pieces are actually like little forks which you can keep!
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
  • 🌞 Franky’s Loco Moco Burger ($18.99) features an all-beef burger, Spam, onion rings, fried egg, and miso cola gravy served with star shaped tater tots. Hands down this was my favorite savory bite of the night. The SPAM was THICK cut and fried crispy which paired well with the burger, onion rings, mushrooms, and gravy for the most perfect bites. The tots were a visually appealing pop and a great vehicle to sop up anything that dropped off the burger. Only thing that would have made this better is if the egg was a little more jammy but this is quick service so we’re not gonna push it!
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
  • 🌞 Sanji’s Seafood Fried Rice ($22.99) is spicy seafood fried rice with shrimp, scallops, and crab. We like seafood but this was just a little too fishy for us and not in a good way. Kudos for them using real crab, though. The flavors are decent but we couldn’t get past the fishiness of the whole dish that permeated even the rice. This is spicy but not unbearable.
    • RATING: 💜⚫⚫⚫⚫
  • 🌞 Brook’s Spicy Katsu ($16.99) has a crispy chicken katsu in a Panko breading with crushed Ruffles potato chips with a spicy sauce served with white rice and cabbage slaw. This is a nice safe bet. Ours was really salty but we truly think we had a bad batch.

Desserts and Drinks

  • ☀️ Luffy’s Straw Hat ($10.99) is a salted caramel filled mousse dome filled with vanilla bean sponge and praline ganache. It’s such a win when a dessert looks so simple, the concept is so perfect, and the flavors are there to back it up. An easy win.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
  • ☀️ Luffy’s Monkey Punch ($12) is a non-alcoholic drink that features flavors guava, honey, strawberry, watermelon, lemonade, and grenadine with club soda topped and with strawberry boba. The drink was a perfect mix for us and not too sugary.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜⚫
  • ☀️ Nami’s Tangerine Breeze ($12) is a non-alcoholic beverage that features tangerine and lime juice, honey and club soda garnished with a tangerine slice and mint sprig. Despite high hopes, this tasted like watered-down orange juice and none of the other flavors came through at all.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Here’s a look at what we tried at the Three Broomsticks. Note that below is not a complete listing of the menu, this is just the items that we tried. Find the complete event menus here.

Event-Exclusive Entrées

  • Classic Sunday Roast ($29.99) features a ribeye roast with an herb crust served with a mini-Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, and blistered carrots and Brussel’s sprouts. This is a pricey meal but it is so so satisfying. It’s a warm welcome home on a plate.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
  • 🌞 Classic English Fish & Chips ($21.99) is a beer battered cod served with mushy peas, fries, lemon and tartar sauce. We were so surprised by this the beer battered fish were perfectly crispy and delicious. The peas were take-it-or-leave-it and the fries were decent. The fish alone is worth it for this one.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜⚫
  • 🌞 Toad in the Hole ($18.99) is a plant-based Yorkshire pudding with sausage topped with onion gravy. Served with mashed potatoes and blistered carrots and Brussel’s sprouts. There was nothing inherently bad with the dish and considering it’s one of the few plant-based dishes it’s a good go-to but it wasn’t knocking off our socks.
    • RATING: 💜💜⚫⚫⚫

Event-Exclusive Sides

  • ☀️ Scotch Egg ($8.99) is a hard boiled egg covered in a pork coating, served with a grainy mustard. This is such a wonderful simple little treat that we enjoyed quite a bit. The saltiness of the pork cut by the sharpness of the mustard.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜💜
  • ☀️ Welsh Rarebit ($8.99) is three pieces of a rustic sourdough baked with a savory cheddar cheese sauce. The sauce hardened, congealed and was bland. The toasted bread was also hard. An easy skip.
    • RATING: 💜⚫⚫⚫⚫

Event-Exclusive Desserts

  • ☀️ Hippogriff Brown Sugar & Oat Trifle ($9.99) is a layered confection of spiced sponge cake, maple vanilla bean Chantilly and a brown sugar Quaker Oats crumble topped with a spiced hippogriff cookie and pumpkin sprinkles. This is an absolutely enchanting sweet treat that we highly recommend.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

Here’s a look at what we tried from menus at Cocina Mexicana and DreamWorks Concession Cart. Note that below is not a complete listing of the menu, this is just the items that we tried. Find the complete event menus here.

Entrée

  • 🌞 Sailor Moon Bento ($18.99) features a spicy tuna onigiri, potato salad, pickled cucumbers and octopus shaped sausage. For the price, there’s much better options around. The onigiri was fine and the cucumbers were great. The potato salad was very basic but fine and the octopus dog tasted like it had a soy sauce flavoring.
    • RATING: 💜💜⚫⚫⚫

Beverage

  • ☀️ Moonlight Love Sparkle ($12) is a non-alcoholic beverage that features dragon druit syrup and Sprite with mango and dragon fruit toppings. We were so smitten by this one, it’s not overly sweet despite everything going on and it’s very refreshing in a sugary kind of way. Only thing hard to swallow is the price tag.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜💜⚫

Dessert

  • ☀️ Mystery Box Cupcake ($10.99) features a vanilla bean cake studded with strawberries, filled with strawberry jam and topped with vanilla bean buttercream. Ours had no “studding” of strawberries which might have helped an otherwise ultra basic cupcake be a little more interesting.

Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep

Here’s a look at what we tried at The First Roll Tavern at Jurassic Cove. Note that below is not a complete listing of the menu, this is just the items that we tried. Find the complete event menus here.

  • 🌞 Hunter’s Mark ($18.99) is an au jus soaked roast beef topped with cheese fondue and arugula. Served with a side of beef au jus. The sandwich was really tasty if unremarkable. The cheese gives it a nice zip and the au jus is a much needed punch of flavor. Wish it would have come with some kind of side considering the price tag.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
  • 🌞 Cockatrice Hot Wings ($15.99) are spicy chili soy chicken wings. The chicken was a little rubbery so we might have had a bad batch but the flavors were pretty decent it ad a sweet sort of gingerly flavor to it that we enjoyed.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
  • 🌞 Beholder’s Brew Fondue ($12.99) features rustic sourdough served with a white cheese fondue. This was disappointing last year because the bread was absolutely terrible and we got hardly any cheese. Both bread and cheese portion were improved but this is still a lackluster choice.
    • RATING: 💜💜⚫⚫⚫

Snacks & Desserts

  • ☀️ Dragon Egg Cheesecake ($10.99) Chocolate hazelnut cheesecake served in a colored chocolate dragon egg.
    • RATING: 💜💜💜⚫⚫
  • ☀️ Gelatinous Cube ($7.99) is a blue raspberry gummy filled with candy bones and sugar weapons. We had this last year and it was a popular item. It is so stupid and we loved it. As a warning the gelatin is fairly firm on this one but you know what you’re getting here and it’s silly and satisfying. Unfortunately, this  year it puzzlingly doesn’t seem to have any candy bites in it so it’s literally a giant overpriced cube of gelatin.

Super Nintendo World

Here’s a look at what we tried at Toadstool Cafe. Note that below is not a complete listing of the menu, this is just the items that we tried. Find the complete event menus here.

  • ☀️ Yoshi’s Smoothie (Apple-Melon) ($13) features flavors of green apple and honeydew melon with a touch of milk for creaminess and topped with whipped cream, honeydew melon syrup and a mint sprig. We had this last year and while presentation was gorgeous this tasted like someone didn’t know syrup had already been added and then added a full extra portion. It was double sweet which we can only imagine was a mistake. Three separate people in our group couldn’t take more than a sip. We had to toss it.

Coke Freestyle, Refillable Cups

Running around the entire park and backlot is busy work and if you’re looking to easily quench your thirst, you might find the Coke Freestyle refillable cup option appealing. You can get a single cup for $20 or get two cups for as low $18 each. Also keep in mind, if you already have an old sipper you previously purchased at the park, simply pay a $13 re-activation fee.

There are three unique flavors of beverages to enjoy during the event from the Coke Freestyle machines: the bright green Fanta-based Fan Fav, an orange Barq’s Cream Soda based Battle Blast, and a crimson Sprite-based Fantasy Fizz.
