Midsummer Scream is back again to kick off the 2026 haunt season in style and we’ve got a peek into the details, programming updates, and schedules of what to expect during the scintillating weekend dedicated to all things spooky.

Here’s a look at what you need to know about Midsummer Scream 2026 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

What to Expect

With hundreds of vendors and artists from around the world, horror icons and other appearances, plus the return of the Hall of Shadows there’s plenty to help get you into the Halloween spirit. The theme for this year is Horror Musicals taking inspiration from Broadway classics including “Phantom of the Opera,” The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and the music video “Thriller,” among others!

Hall of Shadows

The fan-favorite Hall of Shadows features spooky attractions and displays across a swath of darkness in the convention center creating the ultimate “scream park.” You can expect fresh horrors this year from:

  • The Dreich Society

  • The Haunt With No Name… Yet

  • Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group including representation for:

    • Delusion, Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns
    • Festival Fright Nights at Winchester Mystery House

Fun for All Ages

  • Black Cat Lounge is a wildly offering guests an opportunity to meet and adopt cats and kittens
  • Paranormal Pixie’s Pumpkin Patch focuses on making sure the younger fright fans have a scare-free zone for plenty of family-friendly fun with a spooky twist.

  • Midsummer Scream’s show floor will feature an amazing variety of apparel, masks, posters and prints, unique artwork, toys, oddities, and spooky decorations from vendors including The Halloween Shirt Company, Trick or Treat Studios, Backstitch Bruja, Sin City Props, Terror Films, Small Town Weirdo, and Froggy’s Fog.

Tickets

Midsummer Scream passes are still available. A Weekend Pass will get you into all three days of the event for $80 while Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one-day passes are available for $42, $60, and $54, respectively. The VIP Gold Bat Pass is available for $199 offering a host of perks and extras. Children under 10 receive free general admission with an accompanying adult (excludes Gold Bat pass level).
