A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel! is a show that’s as festive as its name is long but it makes a most welcomed return to the Festival of Holidays entertainment offerings at Disney California Adventure during the 2025 Disney Holiday season.

Here’s everything you need to know about A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel! during the 2025 Disney Holidays season at Disneyland Resort.

About the Show

A small procession kicks off the festivities from behind Carthay Circle with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland making their way over to the fountain area in front of Carthay Circle Theatre (where Five and Dime typically perform). They fill the air with live music, singing, and dancing and, of course, the appearance of Miguel from COCO!

When Miguel joins the party, the band plays the song “Un Poco Loco” but otherwise the program is a great mix of different Christmastime classics. Songs you can expect to hear in the mariachi musical style (some of which are sung in both English and Spanish) include:

  • El Burrito Sabañero
  • Santa Claus is Coming to Town
  • Jingle Bells
  • Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
  • Silent Night / Noche de Paz
  • We Wish You A Merry Christmas / La Navidad Ya Está Aquí

How to See It

A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel! is performed in Carthay Circle near the fountain at Disney California Adventure several times per day. It runs for approximately 20 minutes and only on weekdays with typical showtimes at 5:05 PM, 6:05 PM, 7:45 PM, 8:45 PM, and 9:45 PM but always check the Disneyland app for the latest details. The show is only available for a limited time during the 2025 Disney Holiday season.

If you want to score a spot for this popular show, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before show time — longer if you are picky about the exact spot you want. It’s important to note: the viewing area operations are a little awkward. The show begins and ends as a procession with a staged stop in Carthay Circle. There’s a couple of considerations to know depending on where you will watch the show.

  • From Center Stage viewing area: You can stake out a spot in advance of the show in the same area where you can typically see Five and Dime during the day. When the show is over, it will leave from the stage through the middle of the crowd in the viewing area. It’s very awkward as Cast Members ask guests to immediately part to make room for the procession to pass through what was the viewing area.
  • From Stage Left viewing area: You can stake out a spot in advance of the show. You will not be asked to move before or after the show.
  • From Stage Right viewing area: You cannot stake out a spot in advance as this area is used for the procession to access the stage area. However, once the performers are in place, Cast Members will let guests swoop in to this viewing area. This viewing area is not affected by the end of the show procession.

This starts as a procession from behind Carthay Circle Restaurant near the Hollywood Land entrance and winds its way in front of the restaurant and around the fountain before stopping at the small stage setup.

If you don’t mind listening from a short distance, you can find seating around the surrounding Buena Vista Street area including at the Fiddler, Fifer, and Practical Cafe Starbucks. Just know any views of the show will be virtually non-existent but you can still enjoy the live music.
