When you gotta go, you gotta go! And now, it’s time to go to Jurassic World: A Journey Through the Eras during 2026 Universal Fan Fest Nights where you can celebrate the evolution of Jurassic Park over the years. We had the chance to interact with characters from the original film plus enjoy several photo-ops paying homage to iconic moments from the previous films.
With hosted tickets, we were given access to the park to uncover all the fun for ourselves. Here’s a look at everything you need to know about Jurassic World: A Journey Through the Eras for 2026 Universal Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The Experience
Jurassic World: Through the Eras promises several different photo-ops where you may just run into a few of the iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film.
What to Know
Head to the Lower Lot to the left of the Starway in-between Jurassic World–The Ride and Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride where you will be invited to dynamic area celebrating the various eras of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World with unique photo-ops and character appearances.
Snap pictures with dinosaur figures of a Tyrannosaurs Rex, Spinosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Velociraptors. Plus, find several photo-ops, props, and picture cars from the wide range of films including the Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler; The Lost World Merredes-Benz M-Class, Ingen Convoy Truck, and Ingen Hunter Snagger; the Jurassic Park III Ingen River Boat; and the Jurassic World Gyrosphere.
Fans of the original Jurassic Park might recognize a few cameo appearances from characters including John Hammon, Ian Malcom, Dennis Nedry, and Dr. Wu. You might also counter several live dinos including baby Raptors and full grown dinosaurs including Aquilops and Triceratops with veterinarian handlers who are happy to share knowledge about these creatures. Plus, chaos theory would suggest that life finds a way so you never quite know what surprises might unfold including Velociraptors breaking containment.
Quick Tips
- Arriving earlier? If you make this experience (and the adjacent Yoshi offerings in Super Nintendo World) an early part of your evening then there will be no need to return to the Lower Lot later in the evening but the fun lighting effects used here do look better once the sun is down.
- Arriving later? If you visit after 10pm, waits for photo-ops should be considerably smaller than at the beginning of the night.
- Don’t be a dino-sized jerk. Immerse yourself into the world, don’t try to take the characters out of theirs by talking about the movies or books.

Of course, you can expect there to be a dino-sized selection of merch. If there’s one franchise that has no lack of merchandise at Universal Parks its going to be for Jurassic World and Jurassic Park but Hollywood has managed to eek out even more Jurassic Park-specific items including several items themed to Nedry’s iconic yellow rain jacket. Bright yellow items with Jurassic Park branding include charm bracelets, water bottles, blankets, and of course actual rain jackets. There’s also several pieces celebrating the iconic color scheme of the wraps on the transport vehicles shown in the film.

Universal Fan Fest Nights takes place at Universal Studios Hollywood on select dates from April 23 through May 16, 2026.
Event dates include April 23-25; May 1-3, 7-9, and 15-16. The event will begin each event night at 7pm and tickets are now available for purchase.
