Starting on June 22, Universal Studios Hollywood welcomed a new summer expansion of its Studio Tour 60th Anniversary in Universal Plaza with characters and photo-ops paying homage to six decades of Universal movie magic.
Below is look at what you can expect to find at the Universal Plaza portion of the Studio Tour 60th Anniversary celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Back to the Future
Doc Brown’s DeLorean as seen in the BACK TO THE FUTURE films is on display as the centerpiece for the whole area. Great Scott!
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
This awesome photo-up lets you and two buddies hop on some bikes and head for the stars! Don’t forget to phone home.
Woody and Winnie Woodpecker
Vintage cartoons straight out of a non-descript Toon Town that has no particular affiliation with any particular studio.
Jaws
Diver George can be seen here on occasion when he has the guts to show up!
Avalanche
This homage to the classic Studio Tour segment makes a fun photo-op.
Old West and 6 Points
Old westerns were a big part of the studio’s earlier days and this fun photo-op lets you draft up a wanted poster, snap some pics, and create an old jail photo-op from the early days of the Studio Tour.
Crafts and Coloring
Four new coloring pages with the new artwork created by artist Hayden Evans (which can also be seen currently on the Studio Tour entrance) are available along with a fun paper tram craft.
60th Display
Of course, history afficionados will get a kick at all of the vintage photography on display along with some signage to give some context to the six decades of movie making magic.
