The global Disney100 celebration is kicking off early next year and we have details about what to expect for Disneyland Resort’s celebration which kicks off January 27, 2023!

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway at DisneylandAs part of the festive kick off, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will officially open on January 27, 2023 while work continues on the rest of the transformation of Mickey’s Toontown. Other things to look out for include:

Entertainment

Previously announced entertainment begins:

  • Wondrous Journeys premieres in Disneyland Park as a new projections-based nighttime spectacular with fireworks added on select nights
    • This spectacular will feature an incredible new song, “It’s Wondrous.”
    • It will feature nods to every Walt Disney Animation Studios film to date, taking us on a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart.
    • It will continue to build upon the park’s state-of-the-art projection effects, turning Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, the façade of “it’s a small world” and the Rivers of America into an artist’s canvas that brings characters to life all around you.
  • World of Color – One will wow guests on Paradise Bay with an all-new show
    • The show will feature a new original song, “Start a Wave.”
    • It will celebrate the storytelling legacy started by Walt Disney a century ago
    • A new story of how a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change.
    • It brings some of the most courageous, loving and inspiring characters to life in new ways.
  • Magic Happens parade will make its long-awaited return to Main Street USA spring 2023

Festive Decorations

New decor on Sleeping Beauty Castle will enchant guests with an iridescent banner featuring the three good fairies, a wishing star, and two new fountains in the castle moat.
