Lucasfilm is notoriously tight-lipped with their projects (especially when they take place in a galaxy far, far away) and THE MANDALORIAN on Disney+ has been no different. Chapter 9 has officially debuted on the popular streaming service and it brought with it a character that was not originally featured in the initial set of press images: the Timothy Olyphant character of Cobb Vanth.
Today, however, a drop of new official stills from the first episode of the season — along with an official standalone poster for the character — hint that we may definitely see more of his involvement as the second season continues. With little officially known about this upcoming season (advance previews have been essentially non-existent) it leaves up for interpretation and reading of Moogan tea leaves to decipher where the story will go.
No stranger to the expanded lore in books, Cobb Vanth seems to have very quickly become a fan favorite. However, as we saw in season one, many characters are introduced with single-episode story arcs and/or guest-starring roles in this almost episodic vs. serialized show. But a solo character poster seems like a big deal and fans may be in luck for more appearances from the roguish Marshall of the town of Mos Pelgo.
