Tonight at the D23 Expo, we learned from Chairman of Parks, Experiences and Products Bob Chapek several juicy details about upcoming Disney Parks projects including the highly-anticipated Star Wars hotel… or as we learned tonight… at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The new vacation experience invites guests to embark on a two-night adventure aboard a glamorous starship. During this first-of-its-kind vacation experience, you’ll interact with characters and become an active participant in immersive stories that unfold over the course of an unforgettable galactic journey on board the starcruiser (to be called the Halcyon).

The Halcyon, a starcruiser known throughout the galaxy for its impeccable service and exotic destinations will welcome guests to stay in well-appointed cabins, experience onboard dining, make a planet-side excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, and much more.

This ship has 13 engines, an odd number, which the Imagineer seemed to hint was an important detail.

Chandrila Star Line is the company that owns the Halcyon ship upon which guests will embark on their journey. It seems the way these adventures embark are like cruise sailing with specific sailing dates and itineraries planned with everyone on board to get involved as little or as much with interactive elements throughout the excursion.
