We’ve been patiently waiting for quite some time to have more information about the upcoming CRUELLA and at the D23 Expo this past weekend, we finally had our appetites satiated every so slightly. If you weren’t following along with our live tweets, you can find the juicy scoop below!
Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, shared details about the all-new feature film starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson. It should promise to be a fun and funky prequel to the life of the delicious diva with a devious desire for dalmatian duds.
Stone who plays the iconic titular villainess, was in London literally working on the film so she was unable to greet fans. Instead, she sent a pre-recorded greeting from the set with help from a spotted, four-legged co-star. The Expo audience were also the first to get the first official glimpse of Stone in a photograph showing her in full costume complete with the trademark duo-tone hairstyle coifed up in fantastic curls.
Director Craig Gillespie, who helmed I, TONYA and THE FINEST HOURS, brings CRUELLA to life on the big screen in a world that promises a 1970s, punk-rock approach. It’s sounding completely perfect to us.
CRUELLA opens in theaters on May 28, 2021.
But Wait, There’s More!
