The Millennium Falcon is docked at the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and she’s looking for a flight crew to help pilot her on a new adventure on the new Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. This is no passive experience, every crew member on board must do their part to aide in the journey.

If you’re connected through the Play Disney Parks app, your journey will be logged and the results of your efforts will recorded onto your gaming account where you will either earn credits or owe them back for all the damage that you caused!

20190531_213028Below are some of the safety and experience considerations for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run!

  • 3D Glasses: No
  • FastPass / MaxPass: Not offered

  • Accessibility: Guests must transfer from Wheelchair/ECV onto a high-backed seat which requires a seatbelt. A separate boarding experience is offered for guests who need more time for loading.

If you’re in the land when Disneyland does the fireworks, you’ll be in for a special treat as a battle erupts over the sky with the Millennium Falcon as backdrop. There’s no musical accompaniment for the dazzling spectacle. Would be amazing if Disney integrated drones flying back and forth over the mountain range as the fireworks ensued.

Inside the Queue

The entrance has no obvious attraction marquee. You’re entering Ohnaka Transport Solutions which is currently in possession of the Millennium Falcon.

The attraction is FastPass / MaxPass ready but for now it does not offer this service. However, the scanners are currently used to redeem return times for guests with disabilities.

Await communication from Hondo Ohnaka here.

Get final instruction from Hondo on a screen before entering the cockpit. Maybe spot a Hidden Mickey while you’re at it.

Enter the cockpit and get ready for your ride!

20190608_165125

The cockpit has six seats for two pilots, two gunners, and two engineers. Hondo Ohnaka joins you on the journey giving direction to left and right positions independently.

Kiss your lucky dice and get ready for a bumpy ride!

Depending on how much damage your mission encounters, you’ll either be rewarded with galactic credits or end up owing Hondo a lot of space bucks.

The damage is tallied at the end and Hondo will let you know how well you did.

Exiting the Attraction

20190531_220635

Depending on how well you did, the appearance of the Millennium Falcon as you exit will vary. As you can see here, we did pretty well our first voyage. #HumbleBrag. Less fortunate pilots, gunners, and engineers may see more emergency lights flashing and malfunctioning modules as they exit the ship.

Even the elevators are completely in-universe.

The exit hallways inside of Ohnaka Transport Solutions will feel oddly familiar to Star Wars fans and yet completely new and different.
