This morning at D23’s Destination D event in Orlando, Bob Chapek (Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman) treated guests with a bunch of new announcements, confirmations and surprises about the upcoming few years at domestic Disney Parks.

Destination D 2018 Announcements
‘Get Your Ears On’ at Disneyland
Disneyland Resort is celebrating Mickey Mouse in a big way with new nighttime experience, return of Soundsational and more.
Names Confirmed at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, plus music
The two key attractions in the new Star Wars expansion at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios were confirmed. Plus, John Williams has composed original new music for the land! Here’s the two new attraction names:
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

‘Epcot Forever’ and Premanent Illuminations Replacement
A temporary replacement for the dated Illuminations show debuts Fall 2019 and will be called Epcot Forever. A permanent show will then come in 2020 featuring Disney characters.

‘Wonderful World of Animation’
A new nighttime spectacular will kick off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios paying tribute to 90 years of magic since the debut of Mickey Mouse: Wonderful World of Animation.

A new 900-room deluxe resort will be coming to Walt Disney World and it will feature DVC additions: Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge.

Skyliner First Look
Although we already knew what they’d look like, Disney unveiled a first in-person look at the new gondolas for the upcoming Walt Disney World transportation system.

- MAGIC KINGDOM:
- Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration will feature new food, merchandise and entertainment, including a new dance party with Mickey, Minnie and their friends. From Jan. 18 to Sept. 30, 2019.
- EPCOT:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is the official name of the new Ratatouille experience coming to the France pavilion.
- A brand new “Beauty and the Beast” sing-along created by Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films, is set to debut in addition to “Impressions de France.”
- O Canada! 360-degree show is in the process of being updated at the Canada pavilion!
- DISNEY CRUISE LINE
- Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Party at Sea is an all-new high-energy deck party on the Disney Fantasy next summer.
