As we head into the final stretch of summer, it seems that Disney is far from seeing the last of construction and refurbs across the entirety of the Disneyland Resort.
Apart from seeing Halloween continue to creep in and overtake the merchandise shelves, there’s tons of activity on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and in Downtown Disney. Plus, refurbishments continue including Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Matterhorn, and more.
We inch nearer to the removal of “a bug’s land” at Disney California Adventure so we’ll take one of our last looks at the land built for bugs plus we’ll take in sights from all around both parks and even get some face time with Redd.
Of course, we’ll have a merch run for you including a separate look at some Halloween goodies, plus much more. ENJOY!
Halloween Continues to Be Seen
Although major decorations have not yet been spotted in preparation for Disney Halloween Time, the store shelves around the Resort have been chocked full of treats to celebrate the season. We took an extensive look last week but below are some closer looks at some of the goodies.
Tons of treats to sink your fangs into…
Glow in the Dark slap bracelets!
(Almost) Halloween Time
There’s only 12 days left until the September 7 start of Disney’s Halloween Time! Take a look below at what you can expect to encounter!

Jingle Walls
Jack Skellington continues to wreck the halls. Are you excited for the return of the Haunted Mansion Holiday?
Walls around the eastern lawn of the Mansion cause us to suspect that the planter is going to be removed to widen the walkway in anticipation of heavy traffic-flow into Galaxy’s Edge next summer.
Merch cart for Mansion has also moved over off the main path just a bit.
Meanwhile, the walkway near French Market also appears to be undergoing some widening efforts.
Ginger-Web House
Disney twenty-three broke the news in their fall issue that the real gingerbread house this year will be literally ripped from its foundations as a giant gingerbread spider suspended from the rafters takes the prized treat for its own.
The spider will have glowing eyes, movable mandibles and a candy stained-glass thorax; in total it will measure approximately three feet tall with the house below pushing an additional three feet in height. Upwards of 200-500 pounds of gingerbread are baked each year to make the edible confections.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Inside the park, the massive new land is really starting to take shape and blend in rather well to the Rivers of America… for the most part.
Not all the sight lines are perfect, though. For the most part though the new work is looking great.
Around Disneyland
How’s your friend who likes to, wait a minute this is Goofy’s Glacier’s on Main Street. No line.
For a park without any Country Bear attractions…
…there sure is lots of nostalgia.
They keep a runnin them off!
Candy Apple?
Peanut Butter Sandwich! Hadn’t had this since they started adding crushed peanuts on top. Not a fan, it changes the flavor profile of each bite.
The latest Funko craze. SPLASH MOUNTAIN!
Finally ran into this brassy bonnie lass!
Have you ever seen the moon look super big and pretty in the sky but when you take a picture it looks so small in context? That’s what I can say about this photo here. In person, that magnificent peak rising in the background looks quite small in this photo but in person it is a formidable addition to the skyline!
Second week in a row getting the Tostada Salad at Rancho del Zocalo. So good!
Looks like Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room will be returning by October 3! Shout out to Emmanuel for the scoop!
Love this artwork!
Sightlines are quite different here, can’t wait for Tropical Hideaway to come to fruition!
Have you ever mailed anything out at Disneyland?
Seems more walkway widening under way.
The planter here was removed not too long ago, we suspect the same to happen further back.
Almost prefer this in solid black without a mural.
Zoom zoom!
Disney Animation is under wraps. Wonder what they might do to the facade this time! It seems every time this building goes under refurbishment, it always emerges slightly different than before.
Looks like construction (or demolition) equipment has landed upon the Bug’s Life Theater.
Blueberry Scout Jamboree inaugural and final year. And now, a quick look at some fun details that will soon be bugging out…
Around the Resort
World of Disney continues on with its refurbishment while some exterior work also takes place on the hotel above it.
On again off again nature of the new hotel has the eastern end of Downtown Disney caught in an awkward pre-construction state.
Ballast Point and Blackcraft are decidedly well under way despite much evidence on the exterior.
The outdoor upper patio seems to be progressing.
Salt & Straw is coming along as is the upper patio above for Naples Ristorante.
Wetzel’s returns this year.
Sanuk remains open while Napolini next door gets a thorough-redo.
Lines at Wonderground Gallery for the new Splash Mountain Funkos.
The new parking structure next to Mickey and Friends continues to take shape.
Our best guess so far on what to expect with the new parking structure going up next to Mickey and Friends Parking Structure. pic.twitter.com/b8UfnoYlwA

Are you fur real? It’s so hot outside.
When you think you see at co-worker at the park.
Pixar Fest
This summer it’s a full-blown Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort and every inch of the property is ready for the celebration. A whole bunch of new entertainment, food, shopping, decorations, and more have debuted and are ready to enjoy now though September 3! That means there’s 8 days left to enjoy!

Retro Family Fun!
MouseInfo has been partnered with the Howard Johnson Anaheim for quite some time and when we were invited to come check out the new rooms we were pleased to jump at the chance to take a look inside. The new rooms in the Building 1 Tower were welcomed in just a few weeks ago and feature an impressive makeover that updates accommodations to meet the more modern needs of today’s families.
