In celebration of World Emoji Day this week, Disney released a new episode of the popular digital series As Told By Emoji which takes a new approach to storytelling of Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm classics with emojis.
The latest video pays homage to Mickey Mouse in his debut 89 years ago in the instant classic, Steamboat Willie. And must we say it was both clever and adorable! Emojis have changed the way we communicate, adding an enhanced way to express ourselves creatively. So, leave it to Disney being the great storytellers they are to enhance their iconic films like never before!
The series has proven to be a hit garnering a global fanbase of 150 million total views and has been translated in over 20 languages. Disney’s latest innovation to storytelling proves that even the oldest classics remain timeless for generations, proving that you’re never too old for the mouse.
