It is shaping up to be a perfectly lovely Easter Weekend at the Disneyland Resort with crowds hopping, construction projects buzzing, and spring blooming wherever you go.
This week, we’ll get another look at the continuing saga that is the construction site for the Star Wars themed land at Disneyland. Plus, we’ll take another look at continuing facade enhancements at the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT attraction in DCA.
Also on this trip, we’ll take a few munch stops including Uva Bar and Club 33 to celebrate my 33rd birthday! Plus, we’ll take a final look at the Disney Egg-Stravaganza and Disney California Food & Wine festival which both end after this weekend.
We also have a special Club 33-edition of our merch run along with a few other purchasables. All of this and more in our latest pictorial! ENJOY!

A World of Wait
The construction site for the upcoming Star Wars themed land continues to buzz with activity as structures reach higher and higher towards the sky. But there’s a whole lot of waiting for the land to be ready. In the meantime, Disney released a new video offering teases and peeks at the wonder that awaits. Find that below along with our roundup of photos from the construction site.
Flowers are coming back in bloom on the roof tops of Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.

Westward, Ho!
Work continues to move at breakneck pace as the park scurries to get its Frontierland-facing work completed for this year which will accommodate the return of the Disneyland Railroad, Canoes, and other classic favorites.
A peek at the work going on.
More exciting than painting the roses red, they’re painting the boulders taupe.
The Star Wars Land is going to be MASSIVE!
Bridge over the entrance into “Star Wars Land” as it’s unofficially being called for now. The Disneyland Railroad will be crossing over that bridge.
Strange rock formations continue to rise.
Not much visible progress on the new Big Thunder Trail.

Elevator Breakout
Work continues to progress on the exterior of the upcoming Tower of Terror redo: Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! We also noticed some testing with the elevator doors opening and camera bulbs flashing.
Ding ding!
Noticed the doors were opening and camera bulbs flashing.
You can see through the tarps, the new entrance into the attraction is RIVETING.
Well, it’s covered in rivets at, least.
The sign no longer promotes the Hollywood Tower Hotel Red Car Trolley stop. It’s just a red strip across the top for now.

DJ’s Dance and Drive is still a thing.
Celebrating Earth Week at Redwood Creek Challenge Trial.
Tried the DCA Food & Wine Festival Whoopie Pie. It tasted like pancakes with syrup and bacon. But drier. If you love breakfast as a dessert then this is all for you. It was not for me.

33 Years at Club 33
I had the opportunity to spend my 33rd birthday with a group of friends at the Club 33 Salon Nouveau! What a treat!
