It might be a little difficult for us to get excited about a bowling alley coming to Downtown Disney but the fact that the upcoming Splitsville Luxury Lanes is set to also include a menu with hand-cut steaks AND fresh-made sushi certainly has made us pay attention. There have been virtually no options at the Disneyland Resort for sushi since Yamabuki at the Paradise Pier closed its doors in 2009.
In addition to steak and sushi, the menu by James Beard Award-winning chef Tim Cushman will also include gourmet appetizers, burgers, crinkle-cut fries and hand-tossed pizzas. As the first Splitsville location in California (there’s already one at Disney Springs in Orlando), the new spot promises unique combination of dining, bowling and live entertainment with 600 restaurant seats, a large outdoor patio overlooking the Downtown Disney District, two full-service bars and 20 luxury bowling lanes.
It would appear that the new entertainment complex will be taking up residence in the location of the former House of Blues Anaheim location which moved locations to the nearby GardenWalk.
