It was confirmed yesterday by Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger details about both of the much-anticipated STAR WARS themed lands as well as the upcoming new Pandora: World of Avatar. Most specifically… when they will open!

BOTH of the STAR WARS-themed lands (the one at Disneyland and the one at Disney’s Hollywood Studios) will be opening in 2019. Not much more specifics beyond that!

In the new-yet un-named–STAR WARS themed lands, guests will be transported to a never-before-seen planet offering a chance to see Star Wars characters and stories come to life. As we’ve already learned, one of the main attractions will allow guests to get behind the controls of the Millennium Falcon! And we can all prepare for a new experience on Star Tours — The Adventures Continue.

Pandora – The World of Avatar

As for the expansion coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park in Walt Disney World, guests can expect to visit the new Pandora – The World of Avatar starting Saturday, May 27, 2017.

We already know that this new land will feature two new signature attractions of Avatar Flight of Passage, where guests will fly over the jungles of Pandora on a Mountain Banshee and Na’vi River Journey, a family-friendly boat ride through the bioluminescent forests. This is in addition to new dining, shopping and entertainment options.

Additionally, you can visit the “official” travel website for Pandora via a new alternate reality website released to promote the new land. The site is VisitPandora.com.
