When it comes to Disney vacations, character dining is a unique way to get a touch of Disney magic and the Disney Cruise Line is joining in on the fun. Cruise guests may now pre-book special separately-ticketed character dining breakfasts on select 7-night or longer Disney Cruise Line itineraries. This comes in addition to being able to wait in line to pre-book upon boarding the ship.
The meal is a great way to get some face time with Disney characters and while it does require a ticket to enter, the tickets are available free-of-charge and available on a first-come basis. Obviously, you’ll need to be a passenger aboard the cruise to partake in this offering.
Disney Junior Character Breakfast is available for sailings of 7-nights or more with 2 days at sea that depart from domestic ports. While appearances may vary by sailing, typically Jake, Sofia the First, and Doc McStuffins will visit guests.
VIP Character Breakfast is available for sailings of 7-nights or more with 2 days at sea that depart from non-domestic ports, including Alaskan itineraries. On most sailings, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Pluto will be visiting guests. The 14-night Transatlantic and Panama Canal sailings will also feature the VIP Character Breakfast.
Please note there are no Character Breakfasts offered on the Disney Dream.
Disney Cruise Line has always been a great cruise company because EVERYTHING was practically included. They even offered character meals INCLUDED in your pricing. Now, they’re going to make it an up-charge? This makes them like EVERY other cruise line now. What else will they up-charge for in the future. 🙁 This makes me sad.
Hi Casey, this isnt an upcharge breakfast, it’s just that you can now prebook tickets before you sail rather than wsiting in line on day one aboard.
Thank you for clarifying!
