Sometimes the panels, showfloor, and crowds can be overbearing for those with little ones in tow and the D23 EXPO is well-prepared to offer parents a fun retreat with the Family Play Zone. What’s important to note here is that this is NOT babysitting. Children must be attending by parents or guardians at all times.
The new lounge/zone will offer plenty of comfy seats for relaxing, a playground for burning off sugar overloads, coloring tables, tangram activites, plus Compassion Cards for children in local hospitals.
What’s more, special appearances are planned throughout the day from character appearances to life entertainers and more.

Family Play Zone at D23 EXPO 2015
The Family Play Zone at D23 EXPO 2015 is designed to be a place for families to gather for a little “downtime” from the bustling show floor.
Here, you’ll find a place to relax in a comfy chair to watch some great Disney movies on our giant television, participate in arts and crafts activities, explore your creativity at the Imagination Playground, and experience some fun surprises throughout the weekend!
Among the other activities you can enjoy:
- Imagination Playground. An interactive playground that transforms children’s minds, bodies, and spirits through active, creative play.
- Aladdin’s Retreat. A comfy den with Aladdin-inspired carpets and Moroccan-style bean bags and pillows.
- Coloring Corner. A fun place to draw and color pages celebrating your favorite Disney films.
- Compassion Cards for Kids. Come join us to write a greeting card to children in local hospitals.
- Tangram Activity. Form some fun shapes with this great puzzle activity.
- Special Appearances. Throughout the weekend, guests may encounter “pop-up” special appearances by Disney characters, entertainers, and other fun!
NOTE: All children must be supervised at ALL times.
