For a third and final time, Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California is extending its run! You have from now through April 25, 2021 to take in the impressive collection which celebrates five decades of cinematic history from the house of Mouse. Although the museum has not yet reopened its doors following COVID-19 coronavirus mandates, they expect to return very soon.
EDITOR’S NOTE: This post been updated to indicate that the museum has not yet officially reopened despite the extension of the exhibit.
The 10,000-square-foot exhibit — which premiered at D23 Expo Japan in 2018 and previously opened at Bowers in March last year — boasts more than 400 objects, including original artwork, costumes, and props that tell the story of the Archives, The Walt Disney Company, and Walt Disney, and even new acquisitions from 20th Century Studios.
We scoped this fantastic exhibit when it first opened just about a year ago. Check out our extensive coverage taking a peek at the wonders inside at the link below!
