Soarin’ Across America has taken flight at Disney California Adventure, just in time for the semiquincentennial celebration of the United States of America. This latest version of the popular flying theater attraction invites guests to take a cross-country journey highlighting historically and culturally significant landmarks. The joyous new version arrives at the Disneyland Resort as part of the nationwide Disney Celebrates America initiative.

Here’s everything we know so far about Soarin’ Across America at the Disneyland Resort.

The new bi-coastal journey showcases the United States—from sea to shining sea—highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes. The iconic experience remains the same, after being seated, you are raised high into an 80-foot projection dome to feel the sensation of hang gliding. With a gentle wind and immersive scents, you’ll soar past unforgettable sights across the country from rugged wilderness and peaceful coastlines to bustling cities and monuments that honor the ideals that built America. The whole experience comes together with a new musical score arrangement by Bruce Broughton of the beloved Jerry Goldsmith original Soarin’ theme.

The journey  highlights several breathtaking locations including:

  • Kennedy Space Center
  • New York Harbor and the Status of Liberty
  • Portland Head Light
  • Washington D.C. and the national monuments
  • Louisiana bayou
  • Appalachian Mountains
  • Mount Rushmore
  • Great Plains
  • Grand Canyon West
  • Denali National Park
  • Waikiki Beach
  • Griffith Observatory and Hollywood sign
  • A grand finale over Disneyland

This attraction is typically open from park opening until park closed and has a 40″ (or taller) height restriction. The attraction is wheelchair accessible although guests must transfer from wheelchair or ECV to ride; see the official site for all safety considerations.

Soarin’ Across America debuts at Disney California Adventure on July 2, 2026. The same version of the attraction opened in EPCOT at Walt Disney World on May 26, 2026.
