An absolutely adorable Strawberry Shortcake Purrfect Pets Pawp-Up pet adoption activation took place on the final day of San Diego Comic-Con 2026 bringing a berry sweet assortment of activities. The event was open to the public and available for free at the Malibu Farm San Diego in Seaport Village.

What to Expect

Strawberry Shortcake Purrfect Pets Pawp-Up was created in partnership with The Animal Pad, an all-bred dog rescue in San Diego, offering visitors the chance to find a forever home for some seriously cute four legged friends. In connection with the event, several pet accessories were featured with Strawberry Shortcake and her Berry Besties. Highlights of this activation included:

Signature cookies from Magnolia Bakery plus pet-friendly “pupcakes”

Hosted at Malibu Farm restaurant along the Seaport Village boardwalk, the event marked also the launch of Strawberry Shortcake’s new year-long Purrfect Pets campaign as well as the brand’s new Instagram account @custardthecatofficial. The account will feature dedicated Purrfect Pets content and information, from the point of view of Strawberry Shortcake’s beloved and opinionated cat, Custard.
