Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, California is hosting a virtual fundraising event and its one in which vintage Disneyland fans will want to sink their teeth: Tahitian Terrace-Inspired Dinner with Marcy Carriker Smothers.
The virtual cook-along event will feature Eat Like Walt: The Wonderful World of Disney Food author Marcy Carriker Smothers as she prepares a throwback meal consisting of Pineapple Polynesian Ribs, Green Salad with Tahitian Terrace Ginger Dressing, and Tahitian Terrace Punch using original recipes from the original restaurant!
The Tahitian Terrace was a popular restaurant in Disneyland from 1962- 1993. Nestled behind Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, the Terrace was a sit-down restaurant with a dinner show featuring grass-skirted dancers and barefooted fire walkers. The menu was partly inspired by Walt Disney’s visits to the South Pacific.
Bring vintage Disneyland into your home, and Eat Like Walt!
