Jim Cummings was honored with a Comic-Con International Inkpot Award for Achievement in Animation during the Spotlight on Jim Cummings panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. The legendary voice actor was surprised with the achievement at the beginning of the Spotlight on Jim Cummings panel.

Here’s a look at what we got to see during San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

Jim Cummings discussed his 40-plus-year career as the auditory talent behind so many landmark animated characters, including Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Darkwing Duck, and Star Wars‘ Hondo Ohnaka, as well as providing the singing voice of Scar in The Lion King. Cummings has given life to more than 1,500 different animated characters across nearly 200 films, 134 television series (2,500-plus episodes), 175 video games, and 25 animated shorts. The panel comes on the year that also marks 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh — a role so closely associated with Cummings that he previously stood alongside the Queen of England to hail the Silly Ol’ Bear’s centennial. A two-time Annie Award winner and recipient of the prestigious Winsor McCay Award, he is also the host of the popular Toon’d In! with Jim Cummings podcast. The panel was moderated by Gary Miereanu.
