About the Show

The approximately 7-miinute show is simple in its premise and execution. Cindy-Lou Who takes to a podium at the Grinchmas tree to read the classic story of Dr. Suess’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Sweet and short, this is a charming way to introduce young ones to the backstory of the green grinning mean one.

After the story, guest are invited to meet Cindy-Lou Who at the Who-ville school house to the right of the tree.

How to See It

Storytime with Cindy-Lou Who takes place at the giant tree at the center of the Who-ville setup in Universal Plaza near the main entrance of the park. Several benches surround the tree and spaces can usually be snagged about 15-minutes before the posted showtime but you’ll want to arrive earlier for a front-row spot. Due to the staggering of entertainment that happens here, many people will hunker down and watch a rotating set of entertainment that culminates with the tree lighting.

The show is typically performed at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 1200 pm, 1:30 pm (in Spanish), and 2:30 pm each day on weekends during the Universal holiday season. Always check the app for showtimes on the day of your visit for the latest information. Signs are also posted in the Grinchmas area with showtimes.
