Universal Studios Hollywood is leveling up their holiday celebration this year with a whole new colorful holiday overlay coming to Super Nintendo World. Plus, the park will see the return of its roster of fan favorites including “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” and “Grinchmas” in addition to entertainment, character greets, festive holiday snacks, and more.
Here’s everything you need to know about the 2024 Holiday season at Universal Studios Hollywood which takes place daily from November 29, 2024 through January 6, 2025.
Super Nintendo World
- A tree adorned with a Super Star topper, festive wreath and two snowmen—one donning a red Mario hat and scarf and the other a green Luigi hat and scarf—will greet guests for a memorable photo op.
- The spirit of the holidays will shine bright with themed décor.
- Guests will be able to enjoy an array of holiday merchandise at select SUPER NINTENDO WORLD retail locations
- Guests will also find seasonal treats at Toadstool Cafe.
Grinchmas
- Universal Plaza comes to life once again for the Who-bilation complete with colorful décor, lively entertainment and festive activities.
- Wholiday Tree Lighting sees the decorated 65 foot “Grinchmas” tree in a celebraiton accompanied by a burst of cascading snow.
- Who-Bee Doo-Wops musical group is latest Whoville musical sensation and they’re rocking out to hip-swinging, bell-ringing holiday classics
- Storytime with Cindy Lou Who reliving the tale of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
- Whoville activities including good deed postcards post office and themed crafts including paper ornaments
- Find characters including The Grinch, his faithful dog Max and a roster of Who-ville Whos.
- Who-tacular sweet treats and Grinchmas gear will also be available for purchase.
“Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”
- Seasonal décor enchants Hogsmeade village with uniquely themed décor of twinkling lights, magical garlands and cheerful wreaths
- “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts™ Castle” illuminates Hogwarts™ School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with colorful imagery and impressive dimensional animations that dance across Hogwarts castle in tandem to a musical arrangement from the Harry Potter movies.
- Frog Choir, comprised of Hogwarts students and their giant throaty frogs, entertain guests with their harmonized holiday themed songs and fill the land with holiday cheer.
- Custom-made Christmas ornaments created especially for “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will be available along with personalized ornaments, garland, scarves and stockings.
- Holiday-themed dining options including hot, frozen, or cold Butterbeer
