During the recent Nightmares Revealed event  2024 Knott’s Scary Farm we had the chance to take an up close look at some of the new costumes on display for the upcoming haunt season. Gorgeous pieces worn by performers in Ghost Town as well as the new mazes (Widow and Eight Fingers Nine: The Boogeyman) were also on display.

Here’s a look at the costumes we got to look at up close for the upcoming 2024 Knott’s Scary Farm.

IMG_7430In chit-chatting with the talented team members on hand who worked on these costumes, we learned that textures are incredibly important with the fabric choices. So many of these pieces are seen in either dimly lit of intentionally moodily lit areas so having fabrics with patterns an textures that catch the light help make them feel even more real as you run past them screaming with your eyes closed.

Another really interesting and fun fact is that many of the costumes are actually created from fabrics that are often used for couches and upholstery. Aside from the texture and pattern options that help the costumes pop, the durability of the fabrics is also key to ensure that they withstand constant washing. Generally, the costumes are created to last several years of haunt seasons so they are very durably made.

Knott’s Scary Farm returns for 29 frightful nights from September 19 – November 2, 2024. Event dates follow:

Knott’s Scary Farm is open 7:00 pm – 1:00 am, excluding Fridays and Saturdays, where the event will run 7:00 pm – 2:00 am. Due to the explicit and frightening nature of the event, it is not recommended for children under 13.

  • September 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29
  • October 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31,
