The king has returned and it’s going to be with a massive new expansion based on the animated classic THE LION KING! The new attraction will come with shopping and dining as part of the recently announced reimagining of Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris.

Here’s everything we learned at the Disney Experiences Showcase at the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

The showcase for Disney Experiences at the Honda Center was hosted Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences (AKA head of Parks and Resorts) confirmed a new attraction inspired by the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film THE LION KING.

Although concept art reflects characters from the live action remake, Disney confirmed that the attraction will actually be inspired by the 1995 animated classic. Although not specifically confirmed the concept art shows a flume style log ride attraction similar to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

The new new area of the newly rebranded park will include:

  • A fully realized space dedicated to the characters and stories from the film, including dining, shopping, and a chance to meet favorite characters.
  • The chance to head down to the caverns beneath Pride Rock for a new new attraction that will bring you alongside Simba’s journey from cub to king.
