Pixar Fest 2024 might have kicked off a few weeks ago but Disney is now introducing a whole new layer of fun to sink your teeth into! As if the new parade, updated fireworks, and entertainment aren’t enough, Disney California Adventure is now also hosting its own miniature food and wine festival, too, dedicated to all things Pixar!
We tried several options on opening weekend and invite you now for a first taste of the food and drink available for the 2024 Pixar Fest Marketplaces!
Festival Details
Fans might be used to Disneyland Resort’s food festivals but this one for Pixar Fest is a little different so there’s a few things that it’s important to know before you go!
- No Sip and Savor! Pixar Fest Marketplaces will NOT be offering a Sip and Savor pass. All items are available a la carte only
- Save Time! As with other food and wine festivals, you have the option to order all of your items at the same time from a single booth and then pick them up throughout the day while the booths are still open.
- Hours: The Pixar Fest Marketplace kiosk booths are typically open from 10:30am – 9:00pm but always check the Disneyland App on the day of your visit for the latest updates.

What We Tried at Pixar Fest Marketplaces
Themed options exist all around the resort but these special offerings are available at special six special Pixar Fest Marketplaces which are small kiosks that dot the park.
Hanger Management
This booth is inspired by “Inside Out” and can be found in Hollywood Land in front of Monster’s, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue. Here’s what we tried…
Mood Swing Mac and Cheese
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫
Mood Swing ($9) offers the best of both worlds with a half portion of the Joyful Yellow Comforting Mac & Cheese and the Angry Red Hot Mac & Cheese. The Joyful mac is straight forward regular mac — not super interesting but great for kids. The Angry mac is pretty spicy, you’ll feel the heat but not be running for the hills — if you can handle hot Cheetos you should be fine although most in our group felt it was too spicy to enjoy. Like Riley’s emotions learned in the film, sometimes two things together makes a better thing and that is definitely what happens here.
Joyful Yellow Comforting Mac
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Joyful Yellow Comforting Mac & Cheese ($8.50) with happy cheesy puffs. We didn’t try a full dish of this on its own but for the price, we’d be pretty bummed that the only thing special here are the cheesy puffs on top.
Angry Red Hot Mac
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Angry Red Hot Mac & Cheese ($8.50) with spicy cheese crunch. We didn’t try a full dish of this on its own but the heat level here was significant. If you’re a bit of a spice wimp, it will not be easy to wolf down a full portion!
More to Try:
- Mood Stabilizer Mule ($17): Bourbon, watermelon liqueur, candied orange & watermelon syrups, and orange & lime juices topped with ginger beer and garnished with watermelon candies (New)
Gusteau’s To-Go
This booth is inspired by “Ratatouille” and can be found at the Bountiful Valley Hideaway near the entrance to Avengers Campus. Here’s what we tried…
Ratatouille Pizzetta
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Ratatouille Pizzetta ($8) is topped with mozzarella, eggplant, squash, zucchini, a drizzle of tomato sauce, and a wedge of French camembert. Since the food isn’t cooked on site, we were worried Disney wouldn’t be able to pull off pizza from a booth and it would seem… we were correct. The veggies and cheese were nice but the whole bite comes together reminiscent of Lunchables.
Gusteau Macaron
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Gusteau Macaron ($7.75) features a crème brûlée mousse with caramel center. While it may take Chef Gusteau some time to get over the fact that the pizzette is blazoned with his name, he should be pretty happy with the results of this sweet treat. It’s “just” a macaron but it’s done well. It’s a huge one and shareable and the flavors are simple but work together perfectly.
More to Try:
- Le Critique Cognac Sidecar ($17): Cognac, apricot liqueur, house-made fig syrup, strawberry purée, and lemon juice topped with sparkling wine and garnished with a strawberry (New)
- Little French Daiquiri ($17): Rum, French wine aperitif, pear nectar, cherry plum syrup, and lime juice garnished with a brûléed pear chip (New)
Elemental Table
This booth is inspired by “Elemental” and can be found near the entrance to Avengers Campus. Here’s what we tried…
BBQ-spiced IMPOSSIBLE Chicken
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
“Smoked Fire Wood” BBQ-spiced IMPOSSIBLE Chicken ($8.50) is a plant-based dish and served with hot mustard sauce, pickles, and charred onions. The hot mustard sauce with the BBQ spices is a really nice combination. The faux chicken was a little dry, though, and the pickle mix very salty. It feels like this is close to being something great… almost.
Kol Nut Whoopie Cookie Pie
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Kol Nut Whoopie Cookie Pie ($7) features cake cookies baked with cocoa powder filled with cream cheese frosting and topped with crushed cinnamon candies. If there was cinnamon on ours, it was not detectable. Wish it had more frosting but this didn’t disappoint. The crushed candy would make a great extra pop that was otherwise missing here.
More to Try:
- H2O-rita ($17): Tequila, blue curaçao syrup, lychee nectar, yuja purée, and lime juice garnished with a rock candy stick (New)
- Exothermic Margarita ($17): Tequila, ancho chile liqueur, passion fruit nectar, lime & grapefruit juices, and agave nectar garnished with a rock candy stick (New)
4*Town Fav*4*ites
This booth is inspired by “Turning Red” and can be found across from the entrance of Cars Land. Here’s what we tried…
Red Panda Bao
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Red Panda Bao ($9) is a jumbo pork and vegetable stuffed bao with chile-garlic sauce. The bao itself isn’t terribly special although the filling is well-spiced. The chili-garlic sauce is actually the star here but the oil separates so make sure to give it a really good mix before enjoying.
Panda Apocalypse
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Panda Apocalypse ($6.75) features layers of chocolate chunk brownie and New York-style Cheesecake topped with orange and red cream cheese frosting. The brownie was very cakey and almost non-existant and the cheesecake was so loose it had the consistency of frosting. It tastes fine but this is an easy pass.
More to Try:
- Nobody Like U Cooler ($7.50): Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Raspberry Rose Tea, white cranberry, lime & orange juices, and cherry syrup garnished with an orange wedge gummy candy (Non-alcoholic Beverage) (New)
Portorosso Pasta
This booth is inspired by “Luca” and can be found near Golden Zephyr. Here’s what we tried…
Portorosso Pesto Pasta
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Portorosso Pesto Pasta ($8.25) features ribbon pasta tossed in basil pesto with potatoes and green beans. This might be best of the fest but considering the line-up this year, it’s not exactly a high bar. The flavors here are great. Could have been stellar with a little extra je ne se quoi.
Silenzio Limoncello!
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Silenzio Limoncello! ($17) is an alcoholic beverage with limoncello, amaretto & Aperol liqueurs, blood orange syrup, lemonade, and house-made oregano tea garnished with micro daisies. This was very sweet but not syrupy and so refreshing. The flowers added a nice visual punch.
More to Try:
- Sea Monster Lemonade ($17): Lemonade, white grape juice, and peach syrup garnished with blue citrus mango jellies (Non-alcoholic Beverage) (New)
The Spark
This booth is inspired by “Soul” and can be found in front of The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. Here’s what we tried…
The Great Beyond
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
The Great Beyond ($18.50) is an alcoholic beverage that features gin, maraschino liqueur, violet & blue curaçao syrups, lemon juice, and pear nectar topped with butterfly pea flower tea and garnished with a white orchid. This gets top marks for the beautiful colors (even in the ugly yellow cup) but the overall flavor profile is slightly bitter. It’s not bad but we didn’t love it.
Chicken & Potato Waffles
RATING: ☀️⚫⚫⚫⚫
Supper Club Chicken & Potato Waffles ($8) with peach cobbler sauce and cinnamon-herb crumble was so wildly disappointing. The peach cobber on top is nice and the potato waffles are passable but the small nuggets were extremely rubbery which was hard to get past.
Half Note Jazz Cake
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Half Note Jazz Cake ($7.25) is a traditional red velvet cake with a piano decoration on top. It’s light and fluffy but not particularly noteworthy, otherwise. Some sort of crunch, garnish, drizzle or other surprise is really missing here to make this worthy of the price tag.
More to Try:
- SPARK-ler ($13.50): Cotton candy & blue curaçao syrups, mango purée, and pineapple & lime juices garnished with a glow cube (New)
- Bottle Logic Brewing Aurora Borealis Honeydew-Lime Hard Seltzer
