EDITOR’S NOTE: This post was updated with new photographs and information on 4/15/24 and 4/10/24.

About the Location

The New Orleans Square eatery replaces the former French Market and has been refreshed from top to bottom, inside and out, including its menu! The exterior resembles the waterside restaurant featured at the end of THE PRINCESS IN THE FROG with warm and inviting hues evocative of the Southern hospitality that the new location aims to embody.

Of course, there’s a bunch of fun details to take in including homages not just to the 2009 animated classic but also New Orleans and also Disneyland itself. While this is not character dining location, you MIGHT get lucky and see Princess Tiana walking around the area, welcoming guests to her restaurant.

This location offers Mobile Order to help minimize your time standing in line. It’s open for lunch and dinner and typically operates from around 10am – 8pm, always check the Disneyland app for the latest timing and details.

Mobile order exists at this location, just open up the Disneyland app, select your pickup time and order’s up! It’s important to note that if you dine at the restaurant the food is served on proper plates with silverware. However, if you Mobile Order, your food is placed in plastic to-go containers for a decidedly less authentic presentation of the culinary creations that Tiana and her team have cooked up.

On rare occasion, you might get lucky and have a visit from the Princess herself. Although not guaranteed, Tiana is known to sometimes walk around the restaurant eager to check with customers about how they’re enjoying their meal.

Homey details are peppered around the location including the hats and coats for Tiana, her husband Naveen, her mother Eudora, and a little hat that we’re guessing is for Naveen’s brother Prince Ralphie.

Many of the details from the location’s former existence as the French Market can still be seen but are plussed up with personal touches by Princess Tiana. Lighting evocative of water lilies grace the area while a royal blue skylight evokes the twilight sky — blue skies guaranteed. Some finer details line the shelves including some China evocative of lily pads and some personal mementos for Tiana and her friends.

Firefly Five Plus Lou is a fun nod to the Firehouse Five Plus Two jazz band which played at Disneyland in the early days of Disneyland on Main Street, USA. The band was comprised some of Disney’s original animators, including Ward Kimball, Frank Thomas, and Harper Goff.
