Waiting woes continue for those trying to maximize the magic on their return to the Disneyland Resort. This morning, early risers to the dining reservation pages of the Happiest Place on Earth were greeted with the familiar “Thank you for your continued patience” virtual queue process.

Disney recently announced a host of staggered openings for various popular eateries in the parks but decided to group reservation ability for these locations all on the same day (today). With an unclear official start time, we were greeted today with a system that started with an estimate of “1 minute” for an approximate wait time which quickly shot up to “more than an hour” before jumping down to somewhere in the “40 minute” range and then proceeded at a seemingly normal pace from there.

Ultimately, what was quoted as a 45-minute wait was approximately 30 minutes in total but proved too long of a wait before most locations and timeslots were already unavailable. Restaurants that had reservation availability opening today include…

Upcoming Reopening Dates

May 27

  • Blue Bayou Restaurant

May 28
