It was our first time visiting Midsummer Scream this year and as Disney fans it turned out to be quite the year to make that visit! When you think about a convention celebrating Halloween and horror you don’t necessarily think Disney but this year the far reaches of the entire convention were celebrating Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion attraction which turns 50 years old on Friday.
From an entire Grim Grinning Gala to panels and exhibit displays there was a lot of Haunted Mansion but beyond that there was plenty for Disney fans to take in and oh yeah, Halloween and horror, too! It’s a chock-packed pictorial today looking at the 2019 Midsummer Scream!
The Grim Grinning Gala
Paying tribute to 50 years of the Haunted Mansion the Grim Grinning Gala brought Madam Leota card readings, a movie screening, and an entire party with dancing, games, and several bars.
Director Rob Minkoff and Executive Producer Don Hahn provided live commentary for a screening of the Haunted Mansion movie.
