Halloween Time is here and even though summer is now officially over, the temperatures and crowd levels soared this weekend at the Disneyland Resort. We’ll take a look around Disneyland for on-going Halloween Time goodies, stop for lunch at Uva Bar in Downtown Disney, and take a nighttime romp though Disney California Adventure’s decorated Buena Vista Street. For our update this week, we took a quick jump around Disneyland and combined those photos with the ones we took last week when we attended the Galactic Meet-Up.

First, we’ll start of with a delicious lunch at Uva Bar, featuring two of our new favorite bites at the Resort, plus take in some of the Halloween Time decorations and goodies in the shopping district. Splitsville construction continues to take shape while other projects continue inside the shopping complex.

We’ll take in some more of the decorations and a look at projects around both parks, plus we’ll have a nice little merch run for you at the end with some new goodies plus another sighting of the elusive rose gold ears. All of this and more in our latest pictorial! ENJOY!

Starting with Lunch

One of our new favorites in the entire resort is the Uva Bar Caprese Burger ($19) which features a beef patty, fresh mozzarella, applewood bacon, heirloom tomato, arugula, and an aioli of roasted garlic and basil. Also, there’s no split plate charge so we shared the burger and they even cut it up and portioned it all out for us! Super awesome!

This was also much larger portion than we were expecting it’s one order that includes three Ahi Tostadas with spicy seseame aioli, jalepeno slaw, diced mango, avocado, soy ginger vinaigrette, toasted sesame seeds, and micro cilantro served atop crisp tortilla shells. ($16)

We were most excited for and least impressed by Corn Arepas which included seared corn cakes topped with pulled pork, guacamole, cilantro, and red onion. ($14)

We noticed signage has once again removed the Premium Parking pricing although the television screen still says the option is available. On days like today where the lot filled up by early afternoon, I wonder if they opted to not take up the valuable real-estate.

The popular Halloween Time festivities continue to put a strain on the infrastructure at the Disneyland Resort. The Mickey and Friends Parking Structure had to turn away guests Sunday afternoon.

Galactic Meetup

Last week, we had the opportunity to attend a really fun event called the #GalacticMeetup which brought together folks from both NASA and Imagineering to go over some of the ways in which the two worlds collide for ventures like Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

Downtown Disney Celebrates Halloween Time

Downtown Disney has a fantastic new crop of amazing fall decor. It’s brought together with more than 1,600 real pumpkins along with a mix of tropical fall plants, such as canna lilies and copperleaves, as well as traditional plants, including mums and marigolds.

There’s a few ways you can enjoy Halloween Time in Downtown Disney including:

  • Sprinkles: Halloween BOO box loaded with Vanilla Milk Chocolate, Red Velvet, Black and White and Caramel Apple cupcakes.
  • Wetzel’s Pretzels: Enjoy pumpkin spice bitz with pumpkin caramel dipping sauce
  • UVA Bar and Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen offering Halloween-inspired cocktails
  • Jamba Juice: Pumpkin-flavored smoothies

SCAREolers frequent Downtown Disney District and entertain guests with their ghoulish songs on Wednesday and Thursday evenings in October (and of course Halloween night). Listen up for favorites such as “Grim Grinning Ghosts” and “I Put A Spell On You.”

Window displays around Downtown Disney are also updated.

Banners are also updated.

Star Wars also has some snazzy displays at World of Disney.

No Ridemakerz for you. The location will be closing permanently this year to make way for “new dining concept” according to Disney.

Splitsville is really starting to shape up. Bowling, sushi and more to be expected here!

Sephora transformation is still underway. It remains open during construction.

A look at Kayla’s Cakes. Just ’cause.

This animated poster can be seen occasionally on the screens at the ticket booths. Random, but cool! And here’s a good look at the new esplanade banners for Halloween Time:

Around Disneyland

Jack and Sally greeting guests at Disneyland.

Long lines to meet them!

Long lines everywhere, actually.

This is the end of the line to take a picture at the back-side of the Mickey Jack-O-Lantern.

A separate line to help organize the chaos in front of Indiana Jones Adventure.

Double Horsedrawn Streetcar! WHAT DOES IT MEAN??

For Halloween Time few random villains can be spotted on Main Street including Jafar, Queen of Hearts, Cruella Devil, and more.

Around Disney California Adventure

Buena Vista Street window decorations are so awesome!

Have you been on Monsters After Dark yet? What do you think?

Cast Members could barely keep them on the shelves.

In a few short hours, they were completely sold out.

Must have?

Awesome new vintage inspired collegiate designs!

Awesome little book chronicling all of Disney’s Pirates past.

Limits in place on items from the Dress Shop at Vault 28.
