The Disney Parks social media spheres may be a buzz with the Season of the Force but the regular old Christmas holiday season is also well under way at the Disneyland Resort.
Tried and true favorites have returned at both parks including A Christmas Fantasy Parade (view video/pics here) and “it’s a small world” Holiday at Disneyland Park along with ¡Viva Navidad! (view video/pics here) and Olaf’s Snow Fest (view video/pics here) at Disney California Adventure Park.
We’ve got a quick look at all the goings on around both parks in this update. Enjoy!
Main Street, USA
The Disney Holidays this year share the spotlight with the Disneyland 60th Anniversary celebration.
The symbol of the holidays at Disneyland stands tall with the giant Christmas Tree in Town Square. This year, the tree shines bright with slightly more blue ornaments and accents this year. The tree is dripping with diamond garlands and other sparkly details.
Sleeping Beauty Castle won’t be getting its regular snow overlay for the holidays this year. Instead, it keeps its diamond crusted overlay and instead gets a few light decorations for the holidays.
New Orleans Square
Perhaps the most “light” layover in the land in a while but the exuberant colors and decor give the area a suitably energetic and festive vibe.
The Haunted Mansion Holiday returned several weeks ago for the start of Halloween Time and it remains now through the end of the Disney Holiday season.
Critter Country
This land also gets its regular dose of the rustic holiday charm. This year, Pooh and Friends have lent their Thotful Spot to Santa Claus himself. During the daytime, you can meet with the jolly old soul in the beautiful rustic outdoor setting.
“it’s a small world” Holiday
The classic attraction bringing the holidays around the world returns once again!
Cookie Skillets
Just ’cause. Big Thunder Barbecue. *hic* The holiday skillet returns for the final time before it closes to make way for the new Star Wars Land. The Holiday version is a brownie with peppermint ice cream and powdered sugar. Plus, for a limited time there’s still pumpkin ice cream which you can get served over a sugar cookie skillet.
