Disney California Adventure has officially kicked off its 2025 Lunar New Year Celebration and it brings with it once again a miniature food festival to ensure a tasty new year! Several fan favorites return plus new menu options are ready to tempt the palate. We’ve got a look at it all including prices for all the menu items and details on this year’s Sip and Savor Pass!
We tried several options this year and invite you now for a first taste of the food and drink available at Disney California Adventure for the 2025 Lunar New Year!
EDITOR’S NOTE: This posting was updated 1/20 with additional food photos and reviews.
Sip and Savor Pass
The 2025 Lunar New Year Sip and Savor Pass is available to ALL guests which means you have the opportunity to taste your way through a choice of six different dishes or non-alcoholic beverages from participating Festival Marketplace kiosks.
Redemptions for the Sip and Savor Pass can also be used at participating locations around the park where tasting-sized portions are offered. A Cast Member will scan the barcode on the back of your pass then you simply enter the 4-digit code to complete your transaction.
This year, there are 3 new collectible versions of the pass which pay homage to the cultures China (with Donald and Daisy), Korea (with Mickey and Minnie), and Vietnam (Goofy and Clarabelle).
Prices
- Regular ($48)
- Magic Key holders ($45)
Value Alert
To get the most bang for your buck out of the 6-redemption passport, you’ll just want to make sure you don’t get any of the items that cost less than $8 (regular) or $7.50 (Magic Key holder). Considering the prices, that shouldn’t be terribly difficult as long as you avoid desserts and drinks!
Know Before You Go
- WHERE TO BUY: The pass can be purchased at a number of places you might not expect (with shorter lines) including Elias & Co., Festival Gifts, Lunar New Year Marketplace, Julius Katz & Sons, Seaside Souvenirs, and Sip and Savor Carts in the park.
- SAVE TIME: Lunar New Year Marketplace kiosks are equipped to sell you items from ANY of the kiosks. So find the shortest line and you can make your purchase for ALL locations at once. Then, simply take your receipt to the appropriate kiosks to get your items! NOTE: This will only work for items at Lunar New Year Marketplace kiosks; to redeem or purchase Sip and Savor items from non Lunar New Year Marketplaces, you will have to wait in the respective lines for each location.
- FOOD HOURS: The Lunar New Year Marketplace kiosk booths are typically open from 10:30am – 9:00pm but always check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit for the latest information.

What We Tried at Festival Marketplaces
The Lunar New Year Marketplaces are small kiosks that dot the park. While themed options exist all around the resort, the offerings from these locations are specifically centered on the event. You can pay for items here with cash or by using redemptions from a Sip and Savor Pass.
Bamboo Blessings
Bamboo Blessings can be found near the entrance to Avengers Campus. Here’s what we tried…
Mini Char Siu Pork Shanks (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Mini Char Siu Pork Shanks ($9.25) is accompanied by rice and pineapple chutney. This was a surprise hit for us, the pork was a nice fatty piece of meat that was tender and flavorful. The sauce was sweet and savory and the chutney was a nice compliment with perfectly-cooked white rice to soak up all the flavors.
Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron ($8.50) features strawberry buttercream with milk tea center. We’ve tried this in previous years and honestly, no notes! Just a nice simple (gigantic) Mickey shaped macaron. The milk tea flavor in the center doesn’t really come through but the strawberry does and it’s great.
More to Try
- Dragon Fruit Cocktail ($18.00) features dragonberry rum, white rum, lychee purée, dragon fruit & Chinese five-spice syrups, lime juice, and house-made coriander tea, garnished with a dried dragon fruit wheel
- Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($7.50) features Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co.® Ceylon tea, hotteok-inspired brown sugar syrup, maple & butter pecan syrups, and oat milk, garnished with banana milk-infused whipped cream (NEW)
Longevity Noodle Co.
Longevity Noodle Co. can be found across from Sonoma Terrace overlooking San Fransokyo Square. Here’s what we tried…
Mandarin Citrus Mule (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Mandarin Citrus Mule ($19.00) features mandarin vodka, grapefruit liqueur, lime juice, mandarin & apricot purées, and candied orange syrup, topped with ginger beer and garnished with rock candy. There’s so much going on here and it kinda tasted like a boozy Sunny Delight. That’s not a bad thing, it was quite tasty.
Garlic Noodles
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Garlic Noodles ($8.25) features zesty garlic butter sauce and Parmesan cheese. We’ve tried this in previous years it was offered and found it to be completely suitable. It tastes good but it’s a mystery why this is part of the Lunar New Year lineup. This returns year after year, we can only assume, for picky eaters. This item is also available at Sonoma Terrace.
Shrimp Lo Mein Noodles
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Shrimp Lo Mein Noodles ($9.25) features stir-fried vegetables tossed with shrimp and noodles. We’ve tried this in previous years and tried the the Sip and Savor version (not the full-sized portion) and found the dish is perfectly fine but nothing that we’re going crazy about. The biggest offense which is easily just a case of a bad batch was that our shrimp were pretty dry.
More to Try
- Tropical Coconut Cooler ($8.00) features coconut cream, coconut milk, house-made jackfruit syrup, dragon fruit syrup, and lychee nectar & cherry juices, garnished with mango coconut foam and rainbow jellies (NEW)
Lucky 8 Lantern
Lucky 8 Lantern can be found at the Bountiful Valley Hideaway near the entrance to Avengers Campus. Here’s what we tried…
QuesaBirria Egg Roll
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Quesabirria Egg Roll ($9.50) is filled with Oaxaca cheese, beef birria, and a side of guajillo pepper consommé. We’ve tried this in previous years it was offered and just like the tacos served at Cocina Cucamonga, this is one mega tasty dish. The eggroll wrapper makes a suitable replacement for a tortilla and the dipping sauce is a (dare we say: sippable) delight.
More to Try
- Chocolate Firecracker ($7.50) features light chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache filling, chocolate almond dacquoise, and popping candy, featuring Dove® dark chocolate (NEW)
- Guava Lemongrass Cocktail ($17.00) features silver rum, guava nectar juice, house-made lemongrass syrup, and lemon juice, garnished with a lemon wheel (NEW)
- Year of the Snake Margarita ($17.50) features reposado tequila, lime juice, kiwi syrup, and mango purée, garnished with a snake gummy (NEW)
Prosperity Bao & Buns
Prosperity Bao & Buns can be found in front of The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure overlooking Paradise Park. Here’s what we tried…
Kung Pao Bao
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫
Kung Pao Bao ($9.25) is filled with with plant-based chicken, toasted peanuts, and scallions. We’ve tried this in previous years and you wouldn’t know this wasn’t real chicken and the sauce here is gingery and delicious. The peanuts pair well.
Red Panda Bao
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Red Panda Bao ($9.50) is a jumbo pork and vegetable stuffed bao with chile-garlic sauce. We’ve tried this in previous years (it was offered during Pixar Fest this year) and the bao itself isn’t terribly special although the filling is well-spiced. The chili-garlic sauce is actually the star here but the oil separates so make sure to give it a really good mix before enjoying.

Red Dragon Spice Traders
Red Dragon Spice Traders can be found across from Sonoma Terrace overlooking San Fransokyo Square. Here’s what we tried…
Spicy Chicken Tacos (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Spicy Gochujang Chicken Tacos ($8.00) features yuja citrus cabbage slaw. We were fairly disappointed by these, not because it’s a bad taco but just because it wasn’t particularly interesting. There was some heat but not much. The corn tortilla actually tasted pretty good but we’d feel confident advising to skip this one, unfortunately.
Fire Chicken Wings (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫
Fire Chicken Wings ($9.00) is topped with a sesame-seaweed crunch. It’s unclear what exactly Disney is spicing these wings with but they’re definitely spicy. We weren’t dying from the heat but if you tend to be sensitive to spice you might want to skip. These do taste fantastic though and recommend — if you can handle it! This item is also available at Smokejumpers Grill.
More to Try
- Peach Makgeolli Cocktail ($18.00) features peach rice wine, citron vodka, ginger liqueur, cucumber syrup, and white grape & lime juices, garnished with a skewered frozen peach and grape (NEW)
Wrapped with Love
Wrapped with Love can be found in Grizzly Peak near the The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure restrooms. Here’s what we tried…
Phở Dip (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫
Phở Dip ($9.50) features rice noodles, sliced beef, shaved jalapeños, pickled onions, and phở broth. This is a fun and surprising option that successfully translates the popular Vietnamese soup into dippable sandwich form. The only detraction here was the bread which tasted a bit more like a Mexican bolio roll which we were not expecting. It was quite soft which felt like a bad choice for a dipping sando, everything kinda just fell apart midway through.
Mandarin Cream Puff (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Mandarin Orange Cream Puff ($8.50) features citrus cream and mandarin compote. We were really bummed to be disappointed by this one. While the marmalade was really good and had a nice zesty flavor which wasn’t too sweet, we were missing any hint of the citrus cream which would have helped bring balance. The cream puff shell was also just shy of being soggy. This item is also available at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream.
Fried Dumplings
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Fried Lemongrass Chicken Dumplings ($9.00) are served with plum sauce. We’ve tried this in previous years and they are fried which means their freshness is of the utmost importance (ours were a bit rubbery). The flavors of the filling are good but the plum sauce is the winner — rich and sweeet. Success will vary widely depending on the freshness of your batch.
Taro Vietnamese-Style Iced Coffee
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Taro Vietnamese-Style Iced Coffee ($7.25) features Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Vietnamese-style Coffee, cocoa powder, and condensed milk garnished with a taro chocolate sweet cream. We’ve tried this in previous years but this one is so satisfying. The coffee is strong and the taro sweet cream is thick and they pair well for a nice desserty drink.
What We Tried at Other Sip and Savor Locations
Beyond the Festival Marketplace kiosks, there’s a bunch of options all around the park that will offer “tasting-sized” portions instead of the full-size entrees. You can pay for these items with cash or by using redemptions from a Sip and Savor Pass. These items are in addition to broader menus that also feature other items that can be paid for only with cash.
Select Outdoor Vending Carts
Mickey-shaped Hot Dog Bun
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫
Mickey-shaped Hot Dog Bun ($) features brioche-style Mickey-shaped bun stuffed with hot dogs finished with sesame seeds and scallions. This is available with Sip and Savor pass. We’ve tried this in previous years and it’s a great dish if you get it when it’s fresh. If you happen to be at the cart when a fresh batch has arrived then you should find yourself pleased with the offering.
Award Wieners
Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron ($7.99) features strawberry buttercream with milk tea center. This item is available with Sip and Savor pass. We’ve tried this in previous years and honestly, no notes! Just a nice simple (gigantic) Mickey shaped macaron. The milk tea flavor in the center doesn’t really come through but the strawberry does and it’s great.
Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream
Mandarin Orange Cream Puff (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️⚫⚫⚫
Mandarin Orange Cream Puff ($7.99) features citrus cream and mandarin compote. We were really bummed to be disappointed by this one. While the marmalade was really good and had a nice zesty flavor which wasn’t too sweet, we were missing any hint of the citrus cream which would have helped bring balance. The cream puff shell was also just shy of being soggy. This item is also available at Wrapped with Love.
Paradise Garden Grill
Tiger Milk Tea
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Tiger Milk Tea ($7.49) is a non-alcoholic beverage and features brown sugar tapioca pearls. If you’re craving a nice milk tea this will fit the bill There’s nothing special going on here, but sometimes a good milk tea is all you need.
Beef and Broccoli (NEW)
RATING: ☀️⚫⚫⚫⚫
Beef and Broccoli ($8.49 for tasting size portion, $15.49 for full size portion) features marinated plant-based steak tips with fried rice, green onion, and toasted sesame seeds. This dish has very little going for it, if you’ve never thought “I’d rather have Panda Express” before, you just might after this one. We usually like plant-based meat dishes at these events but in this dish, it was just leathery.
Pork Belly Bánh Mì
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Pork Belly Bánh Mì ($8.99 for tasting size portion) features grilled pork belly with pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, and jalapeño with spicy mayo on a French roll. Tasting-size portion available with Sip and Savor pass. We’ve tried this in previous years and the veggies were all nice and crispy and the baguette was a nice compliment. An entree sized portion is available.
More To Try
- Strawberries and Cream Roulade ($8.25) features toasted almond slices (Tasting-size portion available with Sip and Savor pass) (NEW)
Smokejumpers Grill
Fire Chicken Wings (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️⚫
Fire Chicken Wings ($8.29) is topped with a sesame-seaweed crunch. It’s unclear what exactly Disney is spicing these wings with but they’re definitely spicy. We weren’t dying from the heat but if you tend to be sensitive to spice you might want to skip. These do taste fantastic though and recommend — if you can handle it! This item is also available at Red Dragon Spice Traders.
Sonoma Terrace
Scallion Pancake Tostada (NEW)
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Scallion Pancake Tostada ($8.49) features a fried scallion pancake, bulgogi beef, kimchi aïoli, and spicy scallion salad. When you pay cash you get two but the Sip and Savor redemption is for one. This was one of our favorite items this year with flavors that were bold and satisfying. The shell was a little bit greasy but this was an excellent option.
Garlic Noodles
RATING: ☀️☀️☀️⚫⚫
Garlic Noodles ($7.75) features zesty garlic butter sauce and Parmesan cheese. We’ve tried this in previous years it was offered and found it to be completely suitable. It tastes good but it’s a mystery why this is part of the Lunar New Year lineup. This returns year after year, we can only assume, for picky eaters. This item is also available at Longevity Noodle.
