A brand-new Disneyland Band hit the pavement today at Disneyland on the anniversary of its 60th year in operation. The Happiest Place on Earth has long been a source of joy and inspiration that comes in many forms including live entertainment.
When Disney announced earlier this year that the band would be getting revamped, many of the fans of the original band were disheartened. A new more energetic band was promised with more members and new routines.
This new version of the band debuted today with enthusiastic response from the crowds who enjoyed their new sound. The new numbers include more choreography, similar to what is usually performed with the seasonal Disney All-American College Band that plays every summer.
The song lists have also been updated with a few more contemporary pieces including “Hooked on a Feeling” which was recently re-invigorated in Marvel’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and “Life is a Highway” from Disney-Pixar’s CARS and the prerequisite “Let it Go” from Disney’s FROZEN.
